Wife said CAB Deckle was the best/most tender piece of beef ever. I had grouper that was harvested locally the same morning. The quality of the food and friendly staff definitely outweigh the limited menu and price.

My wife and I have heard good things about this restaurant from various people but never had the chance to go until last week while vacationing in Charleston. All the things we heard turned out to be true. We went with several friends and family members and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was impeccable from Megan where she was very... More

We made a reservation here after reading the great reviews; we dined on a Friday night. Overall, our experience was average. I wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend it to a friend. The service was cold, which is odd in Charleston. The biggest disappointment was the food. Although they like to say that the menu changes daily, it's pretty much the... More

The Happy hour is very good! The sliders are good...the lettuce wraps are Fantastic! A must try! The Riccatta Gnudi is very good. Bone marrow pudding is different...A must try. We will go back and try some of the other items on the menu.

We heard about The Macintosh from some friends who had visited and raved about the food, so our expectations were already high. Then they exceeded every expectation with creative culinary dishes, like the summer corn appetizer, (multiple types of corn, including popcorn, Incredible tasting!) and arguably the best thin sliced fries I've tasted in my life. Asked to meet chef... More

This is a wonderful restaurant in the historic district of Charleston that was recommended to us by some friends. We ate here the night of my 10 year old daughter's birthday and they went out of their way to make her feel special. The manager and several wait staff came over throughout the evening to wish her a happy birthday... More

I was initially a little turned off when I went into the Macintosh for brunch last Sunday. The front of the restaurant is very bright with natural light, but the back, where we were seated, is quite dark, and the effect is strange. The menu is limited (then again, we were there for brunch, so that's typical), which isn't a... More

It was a bit of a walk to get there from the hotel, but well worth the effort. The space is casual and relaxed and the cuisine is excellent. Service is knowledgeable and friendly. Their seafood is the best!

Rated one of the best in Charleston. Yes, the food was good. The service was good, however our server went into way too much detail describing the night's dishes *yes, I eat out a lot and am used to detailed descriptions of the evening's specials but this was ridiculous). The prices are high but this is a highly rated place... More

I had to wait two weeks to calm down so I could write this review. On Saturday, June 11 a group of us went to Macintosh to celebrate my birthday. 3 of us arrived first and we were seating in the rear table in front of the kitchen. After a while which was surprising as the restaurant was not busy... More
