Love this place. Great oysters and seafood, cool space with oyster shell ceiling shades. Good drinks. Friendly wait staff. I always try to eat there when I'm in town.

A well run restaurant offering fresh local seafood. Somewhat noisy but it is all part of this restaurant's scene. I enjoyed some local oysters and a cup of crab soup.

Great Martini with Blue cheese olives, shrimp and grits were to die for and grilled shrimp. Flavors couldn't have been any better. Totally delicious!

Having visited Charleston many times and having dined at a number of the iconic eateries there over the years, this visit my wife and I hoped to discover yet another gem to enjoy a delicious lunch. We found it... Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar. Stylish, reasonably quiet, comfortable and with service, to boot. My wife's beautiful salad was covered... More

Had just checked in to our hotel early, couldn't get into our room yet. We decided to take the advice of Jenny from the hotel along with a special coupon for an appetizer. All we could say was bring on the oysters and shrimp! The oysters we so fresh we thought we could hear the boat dropping of the seafood.... More

We only ate salads and multiple dozens of various types of oysters. They were all really fresh, briny and good. We sat at the bar and chatted with the bar staff who were all really friendly.

If you want to enjoy local fish prepared well, then don't miss the Amen Street restaurant. A great local beet salad was our appetizer followed by snapper over succotash. The drinks were generous and served promptly. The only negative was that the tables were very close together in the back of the restaurant.

Had reservations for McCradys Tavern, but for some odd reason, they had very limited fish and seafood on the menu? Left and went to Amens and found a jewel that saved our evening! Josh, our bartender, was busy the night before turkey day, but was cordial and informative while hustling the drinks! He recommended the Holy Basil, which we both... More

This place was recommended by our shuttle driver. It was close by so we gave it a try. She-crab soup was excellent. Fried green tomato appetizer very good. The fish entree was ok. Had to send back for another piece of fish because was SO salty could not eat. Succotash with entree was good. My husband had oysters and enjoyed... More

Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar opened in 2009, reviving the former Amen name of Cumberland Street and restoring this historic corner. The new renovation stays true to the beauty of the original 1800's architecture while creating a comfortable atmosphere for contemporary life. Located at 205 East Bay Street in the heart of the historic district this Charleston seafood restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining all within walking distance of the local Market and the Charleston Harbor. The menu includes a variety of seafood dishes such as oysters, clams and shrimp in addition to an ever growing raw bar menu. Amen Street supports Charleston's local fishing industry with market fresh fish. We are open for lunch and dinner. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are accepted as well.
