A nice little restaurant on the corner of East Bay and Cumberland. Their She crab soup was excellent and their Caesar Salad with grilled shrimp was just as good.

Sorry to say that for the high cost to eat here, the food and service were sub par. we are locals and eat out often. We stopped here because friends wanted to try it. great location on E Bay, near everything. Our server was lackluster, could have cared less we were there because they were busy. Had the arugula salad... More

We recently visited this place on recommendation. It is busy and we had no booking so sat at the bar to eat which was fine. The best part of this was watching the oysters being shucked s right in front of us by Bella who was full of interesting information about the many varieties of oysters they serve. We tried... More

We enjoyed wonderful fresh seafood for TWO meals at Amen Street. Though we have been to Charleston many times, this restaurant was one we had never visited. The service was good and the food was delicious. We will eat there next time we visit.

After a long day of driving, a carriage tour of the city and some tired feet, we were ready for some great seafood. Amen Street is a must stop while in Charleston. Fantastic choice of oysters. Excellent wines. She Crab soup. Fried oysters. Blackened Snapper. Pecan pie. All wonderful. Excellent flavors and suburb service awaits you when you visit. Add... More

My husband and I had an early dinner at this restaurant recommended by our hotel concierge. The hostess was very accommodating about changing the time of our reservation, which we greatly appreciated. Our server was friendly and offered suggestions about the menu. My husband's tuna entree had a unpleasant fishy taste, but our sever was able to replace it with... More

Lunch started with a fully garnished bloody mary, practically a meal in itself. Then a dozen cold, fresh and juicy Glacier Bay oysters on the half shell. Kudos to the resident oyster shucker, who advised us which oyster variety to choose. Meals served well and promptly. Crab soup is a must--but you only need a cup rather than a bowl.... More

Description
Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar opened in 2009, reviving the former Amen name of Cumberland Street and restoring this historic corner. The new renovation stays true to the beauty of the original 1800's architecture while creating a comfortable atmosphere for contemporary life. Located at 205 East Bay Street in the heart of the historic district this Charleston seafood restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining all within walking distance of the local Market and the Charleston Harbor. The menu includes a variety of seafood dishes such as oysters, clams and shrimp in addition to an ever growing raw bar menu. Amen Street supports Charleston's local fishing industry with market fresh fish. We are open for lunch and dinner. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are accepted as well.
