Stopped in for a cold beer and seafood and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! This was the best seafood I’ve had in Charleston so far, it beat Marvin’s and the Crab House. Plus their prices are significantly cheaper than most other restaurants...around the area. Excellent drink specials, like really good deals. Friendly staff, and the food comes out quick. Will definitely be going back.More

My husband was craving beer battered cod. He did not leave disappointed. We were all so satisfied with all the food. Great happy hours to boot! Don't miss this hidden gem. If it was served in newspaper you would have thought you were in London!

My wife, daughters and I were looking for a place to grab lunch during our visit to Charleston. Found this little gem. We all had fish and chips - but we had different types of fish. We all enjoyed it very much

We were looking for a place close to Charles Towne Landing to eat. We saw this online and decided to check it out. It is in a strip of businesses. It's unassuming from the outside. It's a friendly tavern. Fish was excellent and prices reasonable...considering all food is crazy expensive these days.More

The fries ( I mean fries not chips) were dripping with salt and the cod was so over battered that you could broke a tooth biting down on it. There was no curry sauce nor pickled onions no battered sausage or pies. It was calling...it self a fish and chip(fries) bar. I was confused on the concept of the place, is it suppose to be like An American style chippy? I guess that what it was. If you want to go to the back of Mr Ben tailor store and put on a bowler hat and walk out into a Yorkshire chippy then you need to go to the ‘Proper fish and chip shop’ in North Charleston.More

⭐️Fantastic shrimp basket! The batter is amazing and the shrimp is local. My husband had the fish and chips. You can choose between what kind of fish you prefer. The devil in the details... the cocktail sauce has plenty of horseradish!!

I stopped in the other afternoon thinking it's happy hour time, I'll get a drink and some dinner "To go". The bartender/waitress never asked if I'd like a drink. The menu is misleading. It offers a combo meal with a side. I asked for a...particular item on the list of sides only to be told it wasn't one of the sides available. I also ordered some crab dip. The crab dip use to be much better and larger. Very disappointing. Then one of the owners was there and I offered to buy him (and myself) an Oyster shot. I was served only Vodka. No Bloody Mary mix in the Vodka.. NO OYSTER!! Upon having to ask three different times for our Oyster I was told they no longer carried them. So I already have hot sauce in my glass waiting, right? I have to drink it like it is. YUCK. I get the food home and put it on plates.. worst Cod I've ever had. We tossed all of it and I made dinner. Do not waste your money. No wonder the place was empty. I would have given them a minus rating but I couldn't.More

Overall poor experience. When we first walked in at 12:30pm today (a Saturday) the place was almost completely empty. Only one other table had people at it which is always a bad sign. Should have left then. Possibly the only positive thing to say is...the place was very clean and well kept. First we ordered crab balls which is $8 and only 4 came. Two were hollow but they did make up for this by bringing two more at the end of our meal. One was still hollow. The same issue arose with the one other table with people. We split fish and chips with gravy. The chips were French fries not anything close to traditional chips. The fish was a good size and tasted decent but was literally dripping in grease. After we finished eating the bill came and looked accurate. I had a coupon for $3 off. When she came back with the receipt she had charged us the bill of another table that came in after we started eating. When I informed the waitress of her mistake she acted as if she could have never made a mistake and my math was wrong. After explaining simple addition to her she realized she was wrong. As of now she seems to have fixed the issue by charging the correct amount but she didn’t take off the $3 for the coupon. At this point it was not worth waiting for her to struggle and try to fix it. As we were leaving I could hear the people at the other table, that came in after we started eating, say their bill was incorrect as well. Will not be back for the below average food and poor service.More

Cute place, but a bad odor. Not like something nasty, but just an unpleasant odor. Very good crab dip. Fish & shrimp were pretty good, but way over cooked. Fries were tough - how do you make tough fries?? Had to take the slaw out...of my mouth. Tasted spoiled. AC wasn’t functioning properly, but it wasn’t unbearable. Very friendly staff.More

Great fish and chips. Friendly atmosphere and staff that make you feel right at home. Live entertainment plays a few days a week and was the cherry on top. Didn't want to leave listening to two or three women playing on their guitars and singing...was so much fun. They looked like they were having fun which made the atmosphere priceless.More

Great food - loved the fish and chips. My in-laws ordered the crab balls and enjoyed them too! Small kids menu, but the kids left full and content. Will be back again! Fun, unique place to try.
