I stopped in the other afternoon thinking it's happy hour time, I'll get a drink and some dinner "To go". The bartender/waitress never asked if I'd like a drink. The menu is misleading. It offers a combo meal with a side. I asked for a...particular item on the list of sides only to be told it wasn't one of the sides available. I also ordered some crab dip. The crab dip use to be much better and larger. Very disappointing. Then one of the owners was there and I offered to buy him (and myself) an Oyster shot. I was served only Vodka. No Bloody Mary mix in the Vodka.. NO OYSTER!! Upon having to ask three different times for our Oyster I was told they no longer carried them. So I already have hot sauce in my glass waiting, right? I have to drink it like it is. YUCK. I get the food home and put it on plates.. worst Cod I've ever had. We tossed all of it and I made dinner. Do not waste your money. No wonder the place was empty. I would have given them a minus rating but I couldn't.More

Cook was thirty minutes late, basically no Virus precautions were taken, fries were excellent, fish poor. Try Codfathers.

Overall poor experience. When we first walked in at 12:30pm today (a Saturday) the place was almost completely empty. Only one other table had people at it which is always a bad sign. Should have left then. Possibly the only positive thing to say is...the place was very clean and well kept. First we ordered crab balls which is $8 and only 4 came. Two were hollow but they did make up for this by bringing two more at the end of our meal. One was still hollow. The same issue arose with the one other table with people. We split fish and chips with gravy. The chips were French fries not anything close to traditional chips. The fish was a good size and tasted decent but was literally dripping in grease. After we finished eating the bill came and looked accurate. I had a coupon for $3 off. When she came back with the receipt she had charged us the bill of another table that came in after we started eating. When I informed the waitress of her mistake she acted as if she could have never made a mistake and my math was wrong. After explaining simple addition to her she realized she was wrong. As of now she seems to have fixed the issue by charging the correct amount but she didn’t take off the $3 for the coupon. At this point it was not worth waiting for her to struggle and try to fix it. As we were leaving I could hear the people at the other table, that came in after we started eating, say their bill was incorrect as well. Will not be back for the below average food and poor service.More

Cute place, but a bad odor. Not like something nasty, but just an unpleasant odor. Very good crab dip. Fish & shrimp were pretty good, but way over cooked. Fries were tough - how do you make tough fries?? Had to take the slaw out...of my mouth. Tasted spoiled. AC wasn’t functioning properly, but it wasn’t unbearable. Very friendly staff.More

Great fish and chips. Friendly atmosphere and staff that make you feel right at home. Live entertainment plays a few days a week and was the cherry on top. Didn't want to leave listening to two or three women playing on their guitars and singing...was so much fun. They looked like they were having fun which made the atmosphere priceless.More

Great food - loved the fish and chips. My in-laws ordered the crab balls and enjoyed them too! Small kids menu, but the kids left full and content. Will be back again! Fun, unique place to try.

Coming from New England I prefer shellfish, but sometimes will order swordfish. I had lunch there this week and found it to be very good, if not excellent. The restaurant opened only about two months ago and has settled in very well. The interior is...informal, has a nice low country feel and is somewhat like a sports bar. An extensive beer list and a well stocked bar should satisfy everyone. Now the best part, I ordered a beer and the fish and chips which I found it to be the best I have ever had. The Cod was very fresh, the batter was light and tasteful, and just melted in your mouth. The chips were also great, crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside with a special seasoning. The slaw was also very good. I strongly suggest giving this place a try.More

The restaurant is very cute, totally remodeled. Large bar and enough tables to handle crowds. I am a fish and chips lover so I was looking forward to trying the place out. We were waited on quickly and order was also taken quickly. There were...5 couples there so the wait time for the food was lengthy, at least 30 minutes. My fish was undercooked and it was returned. The server said it would be 7 minutes to cook/fry; in the meantime I was given fries. The fish came out and was cooked throughly this time. We were not charged for my meal which was nice. My daughter had the shrimp and it was very good.More

Post & Courier article raved about this place so my husband, 2 neighbors and I decided to give it a try while we were in the area. First off it looks nice and clean. We were seated right away. It took longer than I expected...to get waited on but the really long wait was for the food to get out to us! Then after all that wait the fish was overdone, fries were dry and tasteless. I did like the coleslaw and mashed peas. They need to find a vendor that can give them longer and skinnier pieces of fish so they can get properly cooked. May give them another try but it is a way to come from Summerville so if we are going to have a drive I will probably go over to The Codfather which has excellent fish every time.More

A very nicely renovated restaurant, with table, tall table and counter seating. The walls are lined with TVs, and it is very comfortable. The new and eager wait staff is doing great, ad when slow they're almost too attentive. Fish and "chips" and sides are...their only offerings. Unfortunately, everything but their gravy needs to be improved. The fish was heavily battered, with a dense coating and was on the verge of being burnt. The fish wasn't allowed to drain when it came out of the fryer, so it was quite greasy also. The mushy peas had hard bits in them, and tasty nearly raw or "grassy." Oddly enough when they were dipped into the gravy the flavor was pretty good. The fries were a bit soggy and nothing special. I'll give them a few months and try it again, they've got a great facility and a really good idea for a restaurant.More
