Wow! My wife and I will never forget the night we had an amazing dinner at Halls Chophouse. We were greeted by a very nice staff as soon as we walked inside even though we were early for dinner and did not have reservations. As...we waited Bill Hall came over to greet us and as we talked we mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary. We told him that we were going to wait and see if they could squeeze us in somewhere because we didn’t have a reservation. He immediately said he was going to get us a table and then asked the waitress to take us upstairs. We were seated in a beautiful dinning room and our waitress treated us like we were royalty. Our dinner was absolutely amazing! Honestly the best steak we ever ate. Thank you Paige Bailey for making our dinner very special and memorable. Both you and Bill Hall made our anniversary the best yet indeed and we can’t wait to come back again! Don and Melissa GrayMore

From the moment we walked in, we knew it was going to be a special occasion. We were shown to our table and immediately approached by Billy Hall, who introduced himself with a warm welcome and glasses of Champagne. Our servers, Andy and Joseph gave...us a detailed explanation of the menu and our unlimited options - very accommodating. We sipped on our Bill Hall Cabernet while we anxiously waited for our meal. Our dry-aged Porter steak was to die for. The meal was fantastic and wonderfully presented. It was an amazing evening. The service was excellent!More

The waiter was very knowledgeable about the wines and menu items - but not overbearing. Service was prompt. A shout out top the bread service - normally a "who cares" item. However, their bread was excellent. The filet I had was excellent - meaning rich...flavor from wet aging, cooked to my specs (rare warm). Side dishes are interesting - unusual, but tasty mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Prices are at the level you'd expect for a steak house - high, but not outrageous.More

We chose Halls for our anniversary dinner. We have heard that the food and service compares to none. Well that wasn’t our case. Our waiter was not very attentive and frankly not very pleasant. We ordered our dinners with two sides. The sides were loaded...mash and corn skillet. The waiter asked if I would like corn and I declined as I said I do not like corn. He gave me a dirty look and proceeded to serve my wife the corn. After placing it on her plate he took a spoonful and placed it on my plate and walked away! While we waited for our main dishes we heard the waiter behind tell the couple since there is two of them to order half size sides since the side were big, an option our waiter did not offer to us. The steaks were just OK and do not compare to steak houses in NYC. Do not think we would go back!More

My wife and I had our first visit to Hall's Chop House to celebrate a special birthday. Hall's made it truly unforgettable. We have dined in fine restaurants here in Florida where we live and all over the world where we have travelled. We have...never had better service anywhere ever. First, the atmosphere is elegant and perfect for that special occasion. The several dining rooms feel intimate. After we were seated, a manage arrived wishing me a Happy Birthday and pouring two glasses of champagne. Our server was Elizabeth. No one in any other restaurant compares. She was totally attentive without being initrusive. We knew we were going to have a steak; we had no idea which one to choose. She brought out a board with each of the types of steaks and she explained each one. We explained the there was no way each of us could eat an 8 oz filet. She said that of course we could split it. We also chose to split the fired green tomatoes appetizer. When served, Elizabeth had split the fried green tomatoes, which were delicious. And she split the filet perfectly. We asked for bearnsaise sauce. We also chose half size side: the corn and creamed spinach. Every morsel of every dish was absolutely perfect. Delicious. She asked if we would have desert. Not possible. She sent us home with a good size box with a candle and a generous portion of chocolate cake inside. We enjoyed every bite of that in our hotel room later. Take away the special extras, the champagne and cake. It was still special. I hope we will get back to Charleston. If we do, we will call way ahead - you need to -to reserve a table at Hall's Chop House and ask for Elizabeth to be our server.More

Not the place for a romantic dinner. Great food and service but painfully loud. Almostvhavecto scream to be heard. If you are at all sensitive to noise, do not go!

This place was fun! We went on a Friday night, the music was great. I had the filet and it was awesome. The service was very good and our waitress April was very friendly.

My son, who lives in Charleston, took us here for dinner. All I can say is: AMAZING! All the food was on point. Cocktails were masterful. The service is top notch and personal. I really felt like everyone really cared about us and our dining...experience. This place is the quintessential chophouse. The quality of the meat and the preparation are beyond reproach. Make sure that you leave a bit of room for dessert.More

From the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. We celebrated our anniversary there. Within seconds of sitting down the owner himself brought over congratulatory champagne and introduced himself. Freddie our server was phenomenal. His service was something I have not witnessed anywhere...else before. Multiple times throughout the night various people walked up to make sure our dining experience was going well. You never waited for ever water as the moment it got low someone was right there refilling. They serve as a team, so multiple people were helping as they dish out sides for you. Freddie even placed the napkin in my lap. The food was phenomenal. I had scallops and risotto and my husband had the pork chop. Dessert was on the house for our anniversary and the caramel cake was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back if we are in Charleston again.More
