The most fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. From the time we arrived until the time we departed, we felt as if we had known the staff and owner for years. So incredibly friendly, and want to make sure our experience was nothing short of perfect.

By far the best restaurant we’ve visited. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like special guests with every need attended to. Highly recommend especially for special occasions. The management and staff give 150%.

Halls is a great restaurant! Our waiter Max was wonderful. Andy, the manager, made us feel very important. The food deserves five stars too.

I will never go back! The food was awesome. It was adequate but they overcharged us by $125 for a bottle of wine we never ordered. And we can’t question the bill. They immediately acknowledged it which led to us that they knew what they...were doing, always check your bill when you go to this restaurant. When we question the bell, the owner came back and told us to get out of the restaurant after he was the one that overcharged us! I won’t step foot in that restaurant again TommyHall it’s going to be the demise of a restaurant that his family created.More

Halls is simply the best chophouse I’ve ever been to in my life. I used to live in Los Angeles and there are many excellent chophouses there but Halls is better. Our filets were perfect, cooked just the way we asked for them. And they...were so flavorful! We’ve honestly been disappointed by other old standbys. We live 90 minutes from Charleston but we will drive there just to go to Halls at least once a month. Besides my filet I also highly recommend the roasted Brussels sprouts. The atmosphere was glorious—beautiful warm lighting, gorgeous table settings, comfortable chairs. The service was exquisite—attentive without being intrusive. They must hire only expert readers of people! And to top it off, we received a handwritten thank-you note from our food server! Well done, Halls! We’ll be back!More

The food was delicious, the reason for my rating is due to the fact I was felt on by another patron and the restaurant allowed him to stay and treated me like I nothing…they just accepted his apology ( he only apologized because I was...upset) I don’t like to bring race but I can guarantee if it was a black male on a white female he would have most definitely been kicked out of the establishment. It was an humiliating experience.More

I stopped by the bar to grab dinner at Halls Chophouse. I was NOT disappointed! From the friendly service I got from the bartenders, to the extensive list of top bourbons- it was a wonderful dining experience. I decided to get the Bison steak and...it they suggested I get it cooked medium rare and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had! The steak came with mushroom risotto with truffle oil and was on point! Met a very nice couple and had a wonderful conversation over dinner. The food, service and ambiance are just perfect. Do yourself a favor and stop by! You won't regret itMore

Coming back from Kiawah I stopped for dinner at Charleston's Halls Chophouse. Ordered a special cabernet with an extra fancy glass. First time I ever ordered an authentic Wagyu steak...sold by the ounce. I ordered 3 oz. (about $100) Best, tenderest, heavenly piece of beef...on the planet. Halls did it right...what a treat! Great bartenders too!!More

My husband and I went to Halls Chophouse in Charleston while on a vacation and we both walked away completely WOWED by the entire experience. Not only was the food absolutely incredible, but the service at this restaurant was above and beyond anything we have...ever encountered before. The entire staff made you feel personally welcomed and the southern hospitality that was shown to us throughout our meal was unmatched. The owner, Billy Hall, was there to personally welcome each table and checked in on each table at least 4 times. Everyone was so kind and made sure you were taken care of to the best of their ability. We were in awe throughout the whole meal. The food there was excellent, everything was perfectly cooked and so fresh. I will be recommending this to anyone who comes close to the Charleston area!More

We went to Halls on NYE and we knew there would be a wait. The bar is your only option on full reservation nights- be sure to get your name on the bar seating list with the bartenders. Justin was awesome and worked us in...after a 2+ hour wait. Now that we’re seated, let’s talk food and drinks. The food at Hall’s Chophouse is FANTASTIC and unmatched. This trip, we had a American Wagyu steak and an Aged Ribeye. All the stars for both of those entrees. Sides? The fully loaded baked potato and macaroni and cheese are the BEST. We like these sides SO much we’ve never ventured to even try any other sides. If you’re looking for a great steak, with plenty of options for everyone - you have to eat here. The vibe at the restaurant is also GREAT. You will not be disappointed here. Also, the American Wagyu is the best dish I’ve ever had and worth the price. Cheers!More

Outstanding service! Mouthwatering food. We did not have reservations but we were very luck to be able to walk in and get seated around 430p. Every staff member we came in contact with was top notch, to include Mr. Hall who came by to say...hello. My steak was perfection and my husband said the lamb was outstanding. The bartender also made the best old fashions. Will definitely try the Nash location and hope it lives up to the Charleston one.More
