A fantastic concept, giving those that may have an employment challenges job opportunities.
The beverages are decent, I had iced tea that was a bit over priced but no more than you'd typically pay at other franchise style coffee shops.
The service may be a bit slower than your average encounter but it's worth the social reward, so be patient and considerate.

I saw this place on tik tok not long ago and had no clue it was right down the street from where I live in Charleston so I had to go check it out!! I absolutely love the concept of “not broken” and how happy both of the employees were. They were so easy to talk to and gave me some great recommendations on some of their favorite menu items. I got a chocolate Milano cold brew which was amazing and a lemon raspberry muffin that was recommended which had so many crumbles and a lemon stuffing that I loved. Will always support such a wonderful business 1000%. Can’t think of a better way to start the day - love this place!

I was really excited to visit Bitty & Beau’s having seen a story about the coffee shop on TV. I love their mission of including those with disabilities in our country’s workforce. The young woman who took our order, Ainsley, was kind, professional, and so friendly! She made the experience so enjoyable. I got an iced coffee with flavoring, and it was pretty good - not the greatest iced coffee I’ve ever had, but it hit the spot!

Love the concept of this place as it gives people with intellectual (and perhaps other) disabilities a place to develop life, social and work skills and to be valued and affirmed. Because of their limitations, you can only pay by credit or debit card and it does take a looooong time to fill your order, even if you're only ordering a cup of tea. My husband and I were in a bit of a time crunch (we had to meet our bus) or we wouldn't have cared about time. Most people were very patient (probably because they knew what to expect) and happy to support this worthy endeavour. The other thing about this experience for me is that we only ordered two cups of herbal tea (one a medium, the other large, as I recall) and it came to over $6. With the Canadian exchange rate that was over $9. The most expensive tea I can remember drinking!

Give Starbuck’s a break, take a detour and go here instead. The cappuccino and smoothies were good. The apple muffin was delicious, with real apples in the middle. The brownies were gluten free, made from brown rice. They passed the taste test with my teens. The staff was very friendly, and the place was clean.

To see this group of people in action is so heartwarming. These people with disabilities are proving to the world that they can work, and be a productive part of a community. So go, go have a cup of coffee. You will be greeted as you enter the door and smiled at when you place your order. You will be told they do not accept cash - credit cards only.

Bitty & Beau’s is a coffee shop in downtown Charleston SC. It usually has a line out the door and around the corner. Our timing was good, because there was no line.
The shop is clean with and smells like coffee when you walk in. It has good coffee, but the main thing that sets Bitty & Beau’s apart is the way they manage their business. Their website says, “Bitty & Beau’s Coffee is more than just a place to grab a cup of coffee – it’s an experience. While the shop is run by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the customers love the products, they really come in for the unique customer service experience.”
We agreed with that statement. The experience was great. As you wait in line, you walk through some promotional merchandise including shirts, coffee cups, playing cards and others. When you place your order, they give you a playing card which is what they call out when your order is ready. The coffee was really good too. Overall, I give Bitty & Beau’s an 8/10.

I was very impressed by this wonderful coffeehouse where the employees were friendly, professional, and special in their own unique ways. My latte was delicious and the conversations I had with workers were uplifting and so much fun. I highly recommend Bitty and Beau's Coffee.

I like to get a coffee each morning when on vacation and this was next door to the Church Street Inn and I was so happy to find it. The coffee was tasty and reasonable priced and I love that it supports employment opportunities to inclusively to all. They take the time to incorporate systems into their business that are so creative. How can you not LOVE going here ?!?

I was so excited to go back to B&B! I’ve been the the Savannah location but not this one. The strawberry smoothie was delicious and the cotton candy frappe was a HUGE hit with my youngest son. Of course we had to purchase swag!

Love the concept behind Bitty & Beau's and love supporting those that are giving other's a chance they may not ordinarily have otherwise. Coffee is great, service is outstanding... definitely a "must visit" every time we're in town!

A person always needs to stop at Bitty & Beau's Coffee, rather you drink Coffee or not. They have other things. Support their mission and make a donation to their cause of employing Special Needs Individuals.

I was so very pleased with my visit this week to B&B! The cashier was so very pleasant and personable … she made my experience memorable! I believe her name was Ainsley… she was so very sweet asking where I was from and showing a personal interest in what animals I see in PA! 😍 🦌 She was so very excited to hear that I see deer daily… my frappe was delicious! Loved my visit and will definitely be back next time we visit Charleston!

When I read what this coffee shoppe does for the families and IDD individuals of the community, I knew we had to go while on vacation. No cash accepted. I had the best iced coffee while in Charleston from there. The staff were diligent and extremely friendly.

Happened into this precious place on a very steamy Charleston summer day to chill and enjoy a cold coffee and it did not disappoint. after walking around for a couple of hours. As a retired Special Educator, this place just made my heart sing and I wanted to just sit and soak up the sweet, engaging young woman behind the register taking orders, This place employees special needs young adults and it just works so well. The coffee drinks were delicious. Such a love.y experience.
