The omelets there are the bomb and the coffee is too. A nice little place for the visiting peeps to stop and get a great breakfast meal before heading out to the gardens and being forced into paying the BIG $$$ for food.

Solid breakfast choice when out in the Ashley River area. We stopped in mid-morning on a weekday and my fried green tomato and crab eggs benedict was fantastic. Service was friendly and the food came out very fast, definitely a family-run business without a lot of gloss or glamour but the food is good and the service was great.

I've been eating at the Sunflower Cafe since it opened almost a decade ago. I used to live close by but now that I live overseas it is always one of my first stops when I come back into town. The atmosphere is bright and cheery and the owners and servers exude professionalism and good ole southern hospitality. The prices... More

Tried this while passing by on the way to the Magnolia Plantation & Gardens on a hot humid Sunday. The grand matron of the establishment apologized for the wait but the food was worth it. Great grits and the hamburger "special" was a treat. On Sundays they close early and only serve breakfast but with the limited menu they are... More

This place is a literally whole in the wall that is well worth your visit. My family and I had an amazing meal. The staff makes you feel at home with their excellent service. It seemed as if the majority of their customers are locals that come regularly. My group had food ranging from crap cakes to a Philly sandwich,... More

Have tried both breakfast and lunch here. Love that you can have breakfast until closing at 2pm. There is plenty of variety on both the breakfast and lunch portions of the menu to please everyone .Omletes are hearty and they use Boars Head meat for the sandwiches. Spinach salad with salmon is a great choice too! It can get a... More

We found this on the way to a plantation tour. It was Sunday and he after-church crowd was very evident. The waitresses were phenomenal and super friendly. The raspberry pancakes were pronounced delicious, the sausage was an ungenerous round of unremarkableness, the grits were standard, the coffee was excellent, and the eggs Benedict were standard. With an iced tea, the... More

We stumbled upon this adorable cafe diner on the way to Drayton Hall and Magnolia Plantation. We had a perfectly prepared breakfast followed by their homemade Beignet, French donut. What a pleasure and a find--I had beignets once in New York City 25 years ago, and Sunflower's were perfect. Our server was so kind--she is a four year positive employee,... More

We were passing through Charleston, and stopped nearby for the night. In googling breakfast options, I ran across the Sunflower Cafe - and it's fabulous menu. With the next morning being Easter, I was pleased to find that they were still open and serving breakfast. We arrive 2 minutes before opening at 9am this Sunday. Good thing we did, because... More
