Came here for Sunday brunch based on reviews I read here & was not disappointed! Great food, great service, such friendly staff. Our server/bartender Daniel was great! I had the low country eye opener & the fried green tomatoes were fantastic. My wife had the eggs Meeting Street & the poached eggs on crab cakes were excellent as well. Would definitely come back!

While traveling with my dad, a local Uber driver recommended Toast as one of the best local breakfasts in Charleston. My dad and I were served by Jordan who was sweet, professional, and very efficient. She greeted local customers by name. If we lived in the area we would definitely be back!

We had a great breakfast with nearly unlimited choices to choose from! Our waitress, Erica, was wonderful even though she's currently working extra shifts and is extremely tired from all of the extra hours. The food was very well prepared and extremely good. We'll definitely return!

Waited over an hour for a table while other people came and were seated long before us. Once we finally got seated we and our order placed we waited another hour for our food. My daughter finally told them we were leaving and would pay for our drinks. As it turned out they not only billed her for the drinks they billed her for the food that we never got as well.
Toast will NEVER see another dime of our money and I will discourage anyone else from patronizing them.

I had been wanting to check this out and finally made it today. The space was cute and had a nice vibe. I was enthusiastic.
Then things went down hill...
my coffee cup rim had some sweet residue on it
When my mug was replaced, the coffee in it was tepid and request for hot never was accomplished
They forgot our requested water
Our Jewish friends’ chicken omelet came with bacon instead of chicken 😒
They finally replaced it after he told them to skip it and then still charged for it when it arrived almost through the meal
They charged extra for an English muffin but barely toasted the extra crunchy request
They charged extra for a measly not so fresh fruit cup
The three house special omelets came out looking different from each other
i know it sounds like nit-picking but it just kept adding up and left us with that “eh” experience and no desire to return. If they had just cared to recognize when things were going stray and step up their game, it could have been salvageable. Maybe a bad review will open their eyes?
Don’t bother - Charleston is full of other great options for breakfast!

Perhaps it's the staffing shortage experienced by nearly every business in the Charleston area but the service and cleanliness of this place has gone downhill. The booth was dirty and it took a long time for the staff to even acknowledge we were there. My breakfast came with a biscuit as an option for toast as stated on the menu. The staff member asked if I wanted the biscuit with gravy. I naively said "yes" thinking it was included. When I received the bill, she charged $4.00. Be sure to ask if anything they offer you is an extra charge. The food was okay but nothing special. Service was okay but nothing special. All in all, they overcharged for an experience and food that was just okay. I'll go somewhere else next time I crave breakfast food.

Had brunch with a large group and was delighted by the yummy food and our SWEET waitress (Erica). Fresh-squeezed orange juice was delicious!
However, the manager/hostess was clearly in a bad mood and was taking it out on her customers. She had a terrible attitude and even mocked us when we were trying to politely help her move tables for our large group. She continued to speak down to us the duration of our visit.
Luckily, our waitress Erica made up for the manager's sour attitude. Thank you Erica!!!!

While visiting Charleston, we stopped at Toast for breakfast. Crystal was the server, and not only she gave us great recommendations, but the food was amazing. My wife ordered the corn beef with eggs, grits, and biscuit. I had the French toast. The corn beef is homemade, and it’s probably the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend it, and ask for Crystal. We’ll definitely go back for more!

Today, May 4, 2022, we were served by Robert and Marie at Toast on Savannah Highway, near Charleston (West Ashley). Robert and Maria were attentive, punctual, professional, and friendly. The food was delicious and filling and the price was just right. Toast of Charleston is a great place with a fun vibe. Looking forward to coming back to the breakfast bar- or to the restaurant for other meals on their very broad menu.

Wonderful QUICK service, McKenna was extremely helpful and attentive. Hubby had the classic breakfast with the AMAZING homemade biscuit (size of my fist), I had southern eggs Benedict (substituted the Canadian bacon with patty sausage) , and home fries well done. Great standard breakfast. This should be a go to if you are local. Ask for McKenna 's section.

This is a wonderful place to have breakfast! The service was great and the food was amazing!
Nate is a great server! He made sure we had everything we needed and still gave us our space to enjoy our food. He is also a wealth of information and gave us info we needed to find items we are looking for and file that I am grateful.
When we're are back in Charleston, this will be my go to place for breakfast!

What an incredible breakfast! Eliza was an awesome and attentive waitress! If you’re checking out Toast! grab a biscuit with the sausage gravy it’s insane and ask for Eliza she will make you feel right at home.

Sarah was amazing! She was a very attentive server and took extra care so that I didn’t get food that I was allergic to. She saw the food item on my plate and took it back to get it fixed without me having to make the request. We will be back!

Came in for mimosas and breakfast with the girls and first walking in the hostess Lindsey was super sweet and friendly! She made us feel welcomed and she was excited to be there. Our server Zach was such an amazing server and had such an excellent break down of the menu. Crystal was manager and you can tell how much the entire Toast team enjoyed and valued each other as coworkers and Crystal was such an amazing hands on manager that she went to every table and made the entire restaurant feel valued! Toast West Ashley is definitely a fun loving place to eat laugh and enjoy family and friends and by the way the brioche French toast is Amazing! I will be back!

We came at 11:00 in the morning and had fresh squeezed orange juice the classic breakfast regular orange juice the blue crab and shrimp omelet cheese grits the one egg meeting street and every bite was absolutely delicious. So much so that we had to ask to speak to the chef. If we lived here we would eat here everyday. Our server, Eliza, was the best we had in Charleston. We will be back.
