This tiny Mediterranean restaurant may be off the beaten track but it is well worth your visit. The decor is intimate and romantic and immediately makes you feel at home. The menu is eclectic and the dishes are very flavorful without being imposing. Try the homemade Merguez sausage as an appetizer, and the flavors will immediately remind you of the... More

Wonderfilled evening at Muse. Rob was amazing and the dinner did not disappoint. Will definitely be back for more good food and wine.

This little gem,off the beaten path, on Society Street is a must visit. It is quaint as the restaurant is an original 1850's home. There is dining inside or out on the side patio. We dined on the outside patio/alley and it was so wonderfully nostalgic of the time period. The menu has a great selection of seafood, pasta's, good... More

I was in town for Spoleto Festival and needed to catch dinner between events at a convenient, walkable distance from my evening venue. A local friend suggested that I sit at the bar since I was going as a singleton, and I did. I at the grilled calamari as a first course and the crispy sea bass for dinner. Both... More

Liked the menu selections at Muse Restaurant. Had Steamed mussels for appetizer ( good) and Fettucine Carbonara with shrimp as main course. ( Good ). Wife had the fresh grilled snapper which she said was excellent. Very, very loud wine bar singles scene so I guess the hostess figured we would want to be away from them, so they sat... More

This one is worth a trip down the side street to quench your taste for some great dishes...some with a Mediterranean flair. Located in a house that was built in 1858, you can just imagine the first homeowners, and try and guess what each room, upstairs and downstairs, was used for way back in the day. My wife lived the... This restaurant is in a 1858 house that is intentionally left unrestored. If you don't like the idea of eating in an old southern mansion that has a historically shabby look then you will miss a fine meal. The steak, fish and veal were all of high quality and professionally prepared. The sausage and gnocchi were excellent. The wine list by... More

Amidst the churn and change in the Charleston dining scene, Muse stands out for its easy charm and approachable traditional cuisine. You can sit back and relax and have a comfortable drink in the shabby chic old home along with a nice cat with the wait staff. Do try the whole fried fish; it's a tasty tour de force.

Great spot in Charleston for dinner and drinks. Great historic building with a warm feeling. Bar is small but great. Our bartender, Donnie, was excellent and super cool. All of the patrons here are very interactive. Walk into Muse and you never know how the night will end (for the better of course!).
