Very unique restaurant! First time here, and we tried the Chefs Choice menu which the restaurant picked what we would eat. Lots of appetizers and two different main courses, with a dessert. There’s nothing really “American” about the food here. In all honesty, most of...the menu items we’d never heard of and still don’t know what they are! But it was very unique and something we’d never tried before. Some of it was awesome, some was just not for us. The ambiance was pretty cool and also very unique. The staff were all very nice and attentive, although one of the food runners honestly didn’t know what she was serving. Overall, a pretty cool dining experience that was out of the norm for us. It’s not something we’ll probably go back to try very often because it’s just not our style of food, but please give it a try!More

We recently ate at The Butcher and The Bee in Charleston, SC. Cannot say enough about the food, the drinks, the atmosphere and the staff. Menu was unique and beyond delicious. We sat at the Chef's Counter and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend and...can't wait to go back!! Honestly this is now our favorite and we dine in the area frequently.More

This restaurant has completely lost it’s way. I would highly advise not to eat at this establishment when there are so many great restaurants in Charleston. From the service, decor and especially the food, nothing was good about my dining experience.

This is a pleasant spot with bountiful outdoor seating and very gracious servers. The drinks are wow and the menu is very good. The chopped avocado salad could have done with about 50% less dressing. It was a very tasty dish but too oily.

This is a tasty restaurant that has done some hard things well. But it needs stronger management to get to the next level of being a destination. We ordered the whipped feta with pita and the baba ghanoush with pita. The pita that came out...was large and tasty…but instead of being hot (which is always better), it was tepid. The whipped feta was tasty, but it had been sitting out so the honey on top had started to congeal. We had a main plate of the avocado salad…which is a good salad! But that’s way too much avocado for even 2 people — it should have been a smaller plate instead of a larger one. Similarly the menu is Israeli yet the music was mediocre American contemporary music that didn’t fit with the vibe of the menu. Again, we are glad we went and would encourage others to go. But management needs to do a little more to figure out what they want this place to be.More

Enjoyed dinner at Butcher and Bee tonight. The food was delicious. PJ and Christian provided excellent service. My favorite was the butterscotch pudding.

Have been generally pretty happy with the quality of the menu items here. I do suggest they remove the lamb keboobs from the menu options until they learn how to prepare them.

My husband and I came to Butcher and Bee while we were on our honeymoon in Charleston. The vibe was stunning and the staff were so generous and helpful. They greeted us with complementary champagne to congratulate us on our wedding. Although there was a...large party that delayed the kitchen, the kitchen staff continually communicated with us about the delay and provided us with complimentary appetizers. The food was stunning. I have celiac disease and the wait staff were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We highly recommend the whipped feta, spicy margarita, and the steak!More

This is like a middle eastern/American fusion. Food was very good, service was meh. The outdoor seating was very fun and would come again

Cute place. Loved the whipped feta, kale salad, and the pita bread. Other favorites were the burger & hummus. The place has a great outside patio too.

Went here for lunch, it was highly rated in online searches so I figured to give it a try. Wasn't overly busy when I went and was seated quickly. Waitress came over and was very friendly and attentive had my order placed within a few...minutes of sitting down. The place is very cool looking and I can see why a lot of people go here. I ordered Crispy Falafel as an appetizer and the Benton as entree with side salad. Falafel came out and they were great, plenty of flavor. My entree came out and looked good, tried the salad first and there was no taste beside plain lettuce, cucumber and tomato. Sandwich itself was so so, more of a jerky type bacon hard to chew and lacking flavor overall. I guess the only flavor I really had was from the mayo on it. I read through the reviews on B&B after leaving and most people have good reviews on the food. Maybe this was a one off thing but for me it would not be on my list of places to eat in Charleston.More

This is a great addition to the many great eateries in the Charleston area. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The food was unique , creatively prepared and delicious. We loved the eclectic atmosphere and vibe. We were able to have a nice quiet...conversation in the both seating areas. They also cater to larger crowds. While it is a vibrant vibe, sounds are really quite minimal . A big plus is that they have ample parking in back.More

First, I would mention the decor. Very interesting place, with lots to look at! Second, the staff: very friendly, informative, welcoming. Third, the cocktails- incentive, delicious, not too many to choose from. Fourth, the food- interesting, delicious! The whipped feta is phenomenal!! And I love...that it was served with crisp veggies (including jicama!) as well as pita. My fish of the day was excellent. The portions were just right. Fifth, that little something extra: our server brought us a meze to try “on the house” since we were new customers. She was very attentive and knowledgeable. Those are my five stars. I will go again!More

I had the Avocado Salad, it definitely wakes up your taste buds! The collards were soft but still had a light crunch. The peanut sauce gave it a zesty tang. It was different in the most delightful way! I also had their house frozen drink...and i too was yummy! staff was friendly and relaxed. We sat outside where it was easy to sit back and have a conversation.More
