I ate here with family recently as we heard J. Peters now owns it and J. Peters is one of our favorite places to eat. I had the catfish which was very good. I was glad to see that they had hush puppies. The fries were good. I did not care for the coleslaw. We will return. Overall we enjoyed... More

Buy a boat and pull up to the dock! Dress code... ???! (I think men need shirts to go inside!) Amazing outdoor entertainment with delicious food that... Wait for it... they will deliver to your "sailing vessel!" No flotation device too small... We saw a couple roll up on a paddle board (sorry I didn't snap a pic)!

It's a shame the food isn't better because the location is great. You can reach it by boat, and dress is casual, but the menu is uninteresting and food simply average

As a couple, we don't usually like "a sports bar atmosphere." We made a last minute decision to try the Rusty Anchor last Friday evening. We were seated promptly. The restaurant and rest rooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly. The food (salmon and mahi mahi) was prepared very well. Is anyone really watching the TVs? This... More

We went on a Sunday expecting a typical lunch menu . We did not know that they only do a Sunday brunch . We ate there anyway but it was not what we would have chosen or what we went there for . If you want to try the regular menu go some other time . It was pleasant eating... More

This was our second visit of the season. The first, with another couple was quite good. We both got the fried shrimp. The second visit was just us. I got a good quality steak cooked just right with absolutely no seasoning. Also a baked potato that tasted like it was cooked yesterday and reheated. My wife got a strange colored... More

Went there to try Rusty Anchor under new management. Bartender, Autumn was great and attentive. Finally got seated and experience turned terrible. After both entrees was sent back because not as ordered, no one ever returned. 40 minutes later we asked for a manager. Come to find out the same slack manager that was at Liberty on the Lake was... Enjoyed a peaceful evening dining at the Rusty Anchor on Lake Murray. Service was great. Waitress did not pressure us. Enjoyed a shrimp/crab dip and then crab cakes with a unique blue cheese slaw cheese. Hubby had fish and chips which he enjoyed. Enjoyed watching great herons in flight and lake activity. There is docking for 32 boats if you... More

The location of the restaurant is fantastic. Nothing else around and great lake view and access. Evening live entertainment outdoors was great! I went there ten years ago and found the food to be average at best, and for the value not worth going back. Went back and found the same thing. Nice location, but the seafood was not exactly...
