Great place for lunch

Great food, homemade and tasty. Small and cozy, staff is great and attention to details. Better make a reservation as it can get very busy but worth the wait. Located in the heart of the historical district, you won't be disappointed by your visit to the area. Well recommended.

Food was outstanding. Great breakfast and lunches. Smallish and had to wait a little, but it was worth it.

Had FGT with remoulade sauce and shrimp and my friend had FGT BLT Salad - both were winners. Rainy and cold day so we ate inside. Hard to hear and one seat encroached on aisle making ambience less than desirable; waiters either helping each or forgot who had which table - but great sense of humor.

The cottage is a great breakfast place. The coffee is good and the food is excellent. The muffins with cinnamon butter are a nice touch after you order. I can say the scrambled eggs and ham are very good.

I like to take my dog with me to the Bluffton farmer's market. I enjoy going to the Cottage for lunch before the market opens. It's so much fun to sit outside with my dog and people watch while I am having a wonderful lunch. The food is very good with an interesting menu. I don't have a favorite dish... More

The service wasn't very good. They have a large menu and the prices are on the high side. There is dining inside or outside. The food was average and we didn't feel we would ever repeat this restaurant.

Although the outside porch was a little crowded we enjoyed a wonderful lunch here. The unsweet mint tea didn't need any sweetener the tomato pie was delicious and the ham panini was one of the best I've had. The chips were just a mix of potato chips, Doritos, and other "snack" chips- this was the only negative . I will... More

Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere in a small village setting. The shrimp and grits were to die for. The seafood is local and brought in daily. Much of the food or ingredients are home grown. For the treat of your life, finish you meal with their 4 layer pistachio cake or the chocolate lavender pie. Oh my God!

Get to know The Cottage! Owner Leslie and her chefs and staff take great pride in serving guests some memorable food, and having each dish be consistent time and again. Always ask your server about the popular dishes (although they will also tell you) the top menu items. The old home also has some special Bluffton history. Enjoy breakfast, lunch... More
