We dined with 4 couples. Our reservation was for 6 pm and when we arrived on time the door was locked. We were seated at a table away from the open view kitchen. There is no ambience and no signage. The menu is overpriced and the portions are small. Every time the waiter came to the table with food he... More

Reservations are a must at this restaurant. It is a dining experience with a Prix Fixe menu. A complete meal at a fixed price but choices for some courses. It was an excellent meal with perfect service. The pork belly was so tasty and the veal just right.

You aare gretted witha Cio bella and an aroma that takes you to the Piedmontes area of Italy. The food is not your typical American Italian fare, this is the real deal. The recipes are authentic. They use the freshest food of the season, so you must go many times during the year. Their homemade pasta just melts in you... More

We have lived here for 3 years and last night was the first time we visited Griffin Market but it WON'T be the last! We unfortunately read and believed some of the negative reviews but happily, they were apparently written by people who expected something less than the fine dining experience we received. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately... More

I'll keep this short and sweet....We ALWAYS come to GM when we are in the area. The food is outstanding. Authentic Italian, handmade with fresh, high quality ingredients, great skill, and a lot of love. Very extensive wine list, and Ricardo always helps us pick a great bottle. Quiet, intimate atmosphere. Fine dining at it's best.

We drove past the place twice and we live in Beaufort. Ambiance sucks. The food was good but the service was less than we expected for $150 dinner. I got the distinct feeling that we were there to serve the owner's ego as opposed to being served. Will not return.

Griffin market is not to be missed while in Beaufort. The Husband and wife owners will prepare you a true Italian dining experience complete with a wine inventory to set any wine lover free. We enjoyed the pre fixed Sunday evening experience, everything is homemade, fresh, hot and delicious. Enjoy!

Felt like we were in Italy! Enjoyed the portion size such that we could enjoy all four courses. Watermelon salad with arugula and basil was excellent especially on a warm night. Pasta was clearly fresh and tasty with lovely small fresh fava beans. The steak with mushrooms was best I have ever eaten anywhere in the world including Argentina!! Wine... More
