A nice little place with great coffee, breakfast pastries, and sandwiches. Lots of folk set up their computers while enjoying a cup of coffee.

By far the best coffee in Beaufort. While their prices are comparable to other coffee shops in the area, you get more for your money. When you get a frozen coffee they put real espresso in it at no extra charge. Their 12 oz espresso drinks come with 2 shots of espresso (at competitors you only get 1) and their... More

I have had their coffee before and it was pretty good. I have been disappointed with Starbucks here in town so decided to go back to City Java. Waited 10 minutes behind one person in line and had to leave for appointment. I really needed a cup of coffee.

Hands down the best coffee in Beaufort, SC. The coffee comes from Ravenel, SC and is delicious. They make coffee ice cubes with left over coffee!! This helps iced beverages from being watered down. Genius! They can make just about any beverage you would like and have a fun and creative menu. (City latte = raspberry and white chocolate....yum.) Awesome... More

I've had coffee at both of Beaufort's downtown locations and I would highly recommend City Java for all you espresso needs. They know their stuff.

I always liked coming down from my room at the City aloft to this cute little cafe for my morning coffee. Newspapers, a few knick-knacks, snacks, juices and libations even are within just a walk downstairs.

I adore this cute, little coffee shop! The barista's are as sweet as can be & the coffee/baked goods are unreal. When I moved away from Beaufort, I craved City Java all the way from Charlotte! Now, when I visit my family in Beaufort, I always stop at City Java on my way in & on my way out! All... More

Good coffee and a pretty decent selection of newspapers including NY Times and USA Today. The young staff needs customer service training. I was alone at the counter but had to wait an inordinate amount of time to be greeted while the staff focused on wiping things down.
