Wren Bistro and Bar is a locally owned and operated restaurant and bar that features an ever evolving menu for both lunch and dinner. The kitchen uses delicious locally caught seafood, great cuts of steak, juicy chicken, and tasty pasta dishes. The portions are enormous (the 18 oz ribeye, and the 12-14 oz burgers for example!) and are easily big enough to share. We compliment the lunch and dinner menus with a staff of professional servers and bartenders who are very knowledgeable, always courteous, and very entertaining. The décor is elegant, yet modern and hip. So, if you and yours are looking for a great experience, and even better food, come check us out anytime Monday through Saturday, between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. Reservations are not required, but always welcomed!

Big improvement over last time we ate there

I had a Cobb Salad with Shrimp and my wife had their famous Chicken Salad. Both were excellent. This time the service was very efficient and friendly. We had eaten there in August 2015, and waited almost an hour for our food, which came out at different time, and the food was marginal. We were... read more

We dined at Wren on an early Saturday evening, before the crowd, and were seated immediately. As we were first-timers to Wren, our incredible server, Benjamin, offered expert menu suggestions and I could absolutely hug him for steering me toward the shrimp and grits. I had been reluctant to try them as I have had the dish elsewhere (albeit further... More

The $7 burger is 3/4 lbs and is more than adequate. However, half price is misleading as cheese, bacon, onions etc, etc are extra ....so my burger was 12 dollars... not half price. The burger is good but not great. If you are looking for the best burger in Beaufort keep looking.

Love Wren's salads. I usually go for lunch. Prices are reasonable and service is pretty good too. We went for dinner once and had the Eggplant Parmesan. It was delish.

We chose to have a small plates dinner... The crab cake was divine, mussels, pimento cheese, and each had a salad. Delish!! will go again on our next visit.

Beaufort, SC, is blessed with a number of wonderful Restaurants, and Wren is one of them. We have eaten there a number of times, the latest being last night. Six of us had really good food with stellar service. Wren's shrimp and grits is the standard for me. Seafood is consistently good and drinks imaginative.

wren has a wonderful atmosphere for dinner. The food is consistently good whether it be for sharing several small plates or a full dinner and the service is attentive. The pecan encrusted chicken is amazing as are the numerous appetizers of very generous proportions. wren does not disappoint.

FOOD-Bloody Mary AWESOME. Tomato Bisque-FABULOUS - but thought portion small. Bees Chicken Sandwich-SUPERIOR - sauce and combination very tasty (reheats well). Dessert-I choose Lemon Cake and wasn't that impressed-should have gone for the Chocolate Cake. SERVICE: I was first approached to sit at the Bar (we singles don't always want that); but I think the Man Host picked up on... More

Stopped by for lunch today after finding it on Trip Advisor. It lived up to its high ratings. Tried the brined chicken sandwiches, one fried (very light breaking and not greasy), one with bacon and cheese, both on French rolls. Both were large portions and delicious. Service was great. Desert was great. Absolutely no complaints. We will return.

We dined last Tuesday (Burger Night) at Wren and it was quite busy. After finding two bar stools we settled in for drinks and dinner. The bar service was good....though given the number of people a third bartender might have been in order. The Shrimp & Grits, as always, was delicious!
