The place is small and the air conditioning doesn't really work. I was sticking to the seat. But- the food was really good and the prices are awesome. You can get 2 eggs, sausage, toast for $2.50. Most expensive thing is around $8! Lots of locals. The staff was nice too.

You'll never find a diner anywhere more in tune with its location. It's a blue-collar restaurant in a blue-collar neighborhood (Set in the middle of numerous factories and repair facilities, etc.). The food is hearty and good. The waitstaff and food preparers (It's cooked right at the counter) are attentive and pleasant--and absolutely archetypal representatives of the Ocean State. You'll... We opened the place up at 0800 on a Sunday morning looking for a good breakfast. We were welcomed with multiple good mornings. We didn't order anything out of the ordinary. My wife had scrambled eggs, toast and home fries. I had the same with some cornbeef hash. Everything was cooked perfectly, especially the hash with a crisp outside. As... More

We have eaten here now 2 years in a row. Cute, vintage diner with grilled corn bread, corn beef hash, good poached eggs!

Went to breakfast three mornings in a row early, the food and staff were top shelf. Offerings were large, tasty and filling...substitutions are allowed, some mornings melon is just better than fried potatoes. Great spot...for a great price.

Located right on Jefferson Boulevard half way between Marriott Courtyard and the Hilton, the Jefferson Diner is typical of old fashioned diners which were first on wheels and not mostly anchored down. Counter service and booths inside, and friendly servers, and the owners cooking and serving, which is non existent in modern chains. The "home made" food is the feature... More
