The Matunuck Oyster Bar is a hidden gem. My wife and I stumbled upon it a year ago and have frequented it ever since. Amazing location situated on the water with inside and outside dining. Food is fantastic and the service is superb. The owner runs this establishment like clockwork and the experience is so enjoyable that the Matunuck has... More

As a first-time visitor to the area, I was skeptical about this restaurant, even though it came highly reviewed from local regulars and online sources. The 15-minute traffic line by the side of the road just for valet parking spelled tourist trap and overrated to me. But we had a relatively short wait in the large outdoor bar area after... More

This is a somewhat regular haunt for my wife and I. Take time to wait for a table on busy nights but it goes faster than you think if you get a drink and a plate of Oysters. The food is excellent, the owner is on the floor checking in with guests, and the staff is always friendly even though... More

Best restaraunt in south county RI Well worth wait ( no reservation taken). The owner works his tail off, cleans tables helps serve, parks cars, directs traffic!! He also harvests the BEST oysters anywhere. Their Jumbalaya is to die for!!!!!!

We have been coming here since it opened and it just gets better & better. We came at the busiest time on the busiest night (SAT) and waited for an hour plus, but the bar is a pleasant spot to have some wine & oysters while we waited. The bartenders are very attentive - even with a big crowd. My... More

Got lucky and sat outside with great view of marshes on a perfect July day. The umbrella was big enough to actually shade the table which was great. Perfect oysters with interesting sauces or good old fashioned horseradish. Was very pleased with the freshness of the oysters. Had scallops for my main entree and they were enormous! I finished them... More

We were looking for a charming, tasty fresh seafood place near Narangasset beach, and we found it! Everything is homegrown, the oysters (cooked or fresh) are amazing, lobster tasty and very fresh (see pictures) and there's a nice outdoor area for lunch and drinks with a view on the canal. Very authentic, excellent food and a special mention for the... More

If you do this restaurant once, you will want to come back again and again. Very, very popular with locals and those from afar (we have relatives from San Diego who demand one dinner there when they visit). The owner is VERY accommodating, the food is outstanding, the service good and the views great. Be prepared to wait for hour... More

It won't get much fresher than the Matunuck Oyster bar. Many of the oysters are farmed on site and others are imported from local areas. Its a "pond to plate" experience.Even the vegetables are grown in an adjoining field. The portions are generous (there was over 1 pound of mussels in the mussel appetizer), the wait staff friendly, knowledgeable and... More

Went for a late lunch with friends, valet parking was quick and necessary. The wait staff is well trained and very courteous, the food came in a timely fashion to mesh with drinks and conversation. Although the place was packed there was no sense of being rushed. Every guest was very satisfied with the quality and quantity of there respective... More
