I eat breakfast at Foodworks frequently as part of a group meeting. I also eat lunches with friends. I think the food is uniformly good and the service is excellent. It is not fine dining, but it is a good place to eat.

Our party of five came here on a Friday afternoon for lunch. We were promptly seated, but the rest of time, service for the table was a bit slow. We think maybe there was only one server working the floor. That said, when it arrived,...the food was quite good. We got an assortment of dishes, mostly sandwiches and salad. Everything tasted freshly-made, and the portions were plenty.More
I have only had lunch here and it always has been very good. sometimes I bring my wife with me. This review is with both of us being at the restaurant. I have to say they are doing everything to prevent Covid as they are...super clean and do a clean after each customer leaves the table. The sandwiches are very good and my wife asked for a got a tune club sandwich. Boy it was big. My burger was great and the fries came out hot. I asked for grilled onion and I got them done just right. I also asked if the fries could be crisp and they were great. I hate the lettice and tomato one my sandwich I get it on the side with some dressing and it is good. the service was really nice and friendly and fast which was good. It is a good place for the entire family. good parking.More
It is a very nice place, nothing special but comfortable. I had the Portuguese Benedict and was very disappointed. One poach egg was almost raw and the other was cooked ok. I sent it back and then it became two hard poached egg. I was...not impressed. The service was good. The prices were average. Not sure I will venture back.More
We had a breakfast today! Rachael was excellent server! Cleanliness and sanitation procedures are awesome! COVID guidelines are strictly adhered to. Food is always excellent. My favorite breakfast place! Lunches are great too! Everything is fresh and cooked to order.
This is a decent breakfast spot. The apple cinnamon French toast wasn’t bad but underwhelming. Fine for a quick breakfast.
We had lunch at this restaurant. They serve beer. We had Char Grilled Burger with French Fries and Crispy Fish Sandwich with coleslaw. The service was friendly and the food was good and sufficient. We can recommend this restaurant.
We enjoyed an absolutely delicious breakfast for lunch at Food Works. The best items we had were the lobster Benedict, the blueberry muffins, and blueberry pancakes. (This was the best lobster my wife had on our entire 18-day swing through New England.) The staff was...also warm and accommodating. If we were locals, we would be regulars at Food Works.More
We were just driving by and decided to grab a bite; so glad we did. Delicious! Friendly staff, clean place, nice selection of breakfast and lunch. We will be back!
This is a bright, cheerful place with terrific service & fresh made to order food. Plenty of accommodations for young & old alike and close to center of town and a hop off route 24. It has enjoyed a reliable reply for many years by...locals and returning tourists.More
A little out of the way if you are visiting Newport, but worth the trip. A very nice breakfast place (have not had lunch here yet) with a friendly staff. Clean, well decorated, and lots of windows for natural light. The hash brown potatoes were...maybe the best I’ve ever had. One family member absolutely destroyed the Irish eggs benedict— there was nothing left on the plate. Everyone ate everything served to them, so it must all have been good. The only slightly negative comment I can make is about how they served the corn muffin I ordered. They cut it open and grilled it face down, like many places do for breakfast, but they didn’t remove the paper liner. Probably less work for the kitchen, but heating the muffin in the liner caused the liner to stick and made it difficult to get the warmed muffin out of the liner. I will definitely return.More
Very good breakfast sandwich with a side of home fries. All the coffee you could drink and priced reasonably.
Family owned and operated restaurant. ♥️ A slice of local flavor. Great food, comfortable atmosphere.
Good homestyle comfort food. Family run with very friendly staff. Only open for breakfast and lunch. Lots of locals. Comfortable atmosphere. Back room can accommodate larger parties
So glad i stopped and did. Fresh tasty food, happy attentive staff, very clean. Sounds like a must right?, but how many restaurants fail to achieve?!
