We love coming here to sit outside, enjoy the sunset views, see the boats, pat sweet Honey dog’s noggin, savor the delicious food and drink options, & say hi to the staff. I *almost* hate sharing how much I love this hidden gem because I...want it all to myself :-D but please, seek out this restaurant, visit often, & empty your wallets here, folks, you won’t regret it. The prices are reasonable, portions generous, options varied, staff is fantastic! Great beer selection, tasty rum flights, creative mixed drinks! How can I pick just one item to tell you about?! I can’t! Here are some favs: Appetizer: HUSH PUPPIES OMG: do it. The fried chicken sandwich is a go-to, it’s a super delicious option. Perfect piece of chicken with yummy crunchy breading fried to further perfection (is this possible?!) topped with bacon & a tasty sauce. French fries are always on point. I love the veggie burger options and the 10 Veg burger is fresh and satisfying - upgrade it to add cheese & sautéed mushrooms 🤤 They’ve always got something new and fresh. The new salmon creole dish is great! I loved the sauce and fish is fresh. The colcannon tots are a delicious appetizer treat. Try ‘em! Puerto Rican stewed chicken: yes, please, thank you, yum. DESSERT: I could eat the pecan pie daily. Try taking it home and warming it up. You’re welcome. No matter what you choose, you’ll be happy :-)More

We ate here last week outside after dark and it was lovely. The calamari is the best on the island (but we should probably keep that a sercret) fish and chips is also a delicious, and I've been known to eat the entire plate of...nachos with veggies by myself. It's welcoming and fun place to be, it's off the beaten path. They have done great with COVID restrictions and there's plenty of space. Thank you for another great meal!More

We went here for lunch on a warm summer day. They were doing a great job in the COVID environment and as we had my 75 year old mother in law there we appreciated their adherence to the rules and regulations BUT the BEST was...the food!!! We shared calamari I had the fried chicken and could eat it everyday My mother in law had the fish and chips and loved it. Additionally I had the best margarita to complete a great meal. Service was prompt and on pointMore

We love visiting The Gulf Stream. The food is always good, the drinks are delicious, and we love bringing our puppy to enjoy some snacks on the patio. Most importantly they also do a great job of making us feel safe and clean during the...pandemic.More

This is our favorite place for lunch and dinner, and sometimes brunch too! The view is amazing with beautiful sunsets. All the food is delicious, especially the scallops! Waitstaff, bartenders and owners are friendly and attentive!

First time here and very impressed withe the delish food and generous size drinks. Ate outside and had a very pleasant server. I had the grilled scallops and they were he best. My husband had the hamburger and it was very large with great fries....Will go back....even though it was a little hard to find, as it is located in the middle of a boat marina.More

We dined here on our first night in Portsmouth for vacation and it was a great introduction to the RI food scene. The wait staff was both professional and efficient at receiving our party to our table. The food was delicious and flavorful. Kim, our...waitress was another highlight to our dinner as she took the time to answer our questions and recommend local hot spots for our party to visit. Casual Americana seafood faire- affordable and importantly friendly staff. Will definitely visit again next we are in Portsmouth;.More

Wonderful location. Surly waitstaff. Food mediocre at best! Drinks went back several times for some alcohol or an extra shot of alcohol. Management nasty and not accommodating. Will NOT return

We went here for dinner after Rail Explorers and even though we did not have reservations they were able to seat us. The food was great and so was the atmosphere!

At a $148 Bill that is bad odds. I got the Bermuda soup, I was starving when done. Picture paying $15 for a bowl of stewed tomatoes and diced celery. Tiny flakes of fish that were microscopic. I asked the cook when he delivered ,...and he said that’s how it suppose to be. I looked up the recipe online, and it looked hefty, not like mine. For that reason, never will I return. The roast sandwich was good, as was the fried fish and chips. The Stuffed quohog was grainy with corn, And was not held together, it was a crumbly mess. The chowder was nothing special I was told, and it looked canned. The Moscow mule was awful, and not drinkable. It was our first time out because of the virus, and it was a huge disappointment. This restaurant is over rated. Sorry guys but you have 1 less family to worry about. . .More
