We walked in from the ferry and quickly seated upstairs with wide water view. We both had fish and chips, flounder and halibut. So good. Fresh tasty. One of us loved the slaw. Fries were good, prices fair. Service A. Lots of parking too.

I went to George’s the other night with some friends and I have to say that our experience was nothing short of excellent. For starters, the food was delicious! I had the clam-cakes and decided to try their Rhode Island clear chowder for a change....I was not surprised when our waiter informed us that the George’s RI chowder has won numerous awards over the years with its savory flavor and abundance of fresh clams. For my entree, I had the seafood marinara and it was to die for. It had just the right amount of seasoning and was loaded with shrimp, scallops, and mussels. Our waiter also informed us that the seafood is sustainably sourced from local waters, which was really good to hear. One of my friends is not a huge seafood guy, but he was very impressed by the carefully crafted menu with such a wide variety of options to suit everyone’s preferences. The waiter was friendly, attentive, and personable which made the overall dining experience that much better. From what my friends and I observed, the staff was very diligent with sanitizing everything, and they did everything they could to make us feel safe and comfortable, which says a lot considering the current Covid health crisis. I liked that their was an array of seasonal specials such as speciality cocktails, food, and desserts. After our meal we decided to check out the Tiki bar and it definitely exceeded our expectations and lived up to the hype. I felt like I was in Hawaii or the Bahamas with the unique and creative setup on the beach. I will definitely be back soon and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a one of a kind dining experience!More

Great view from our upstairs table. Our waiter was personable and attentive. My mom's lobster roll was delicious. Unfortunately, my fish was extremely greasy. This was the second time that I tried the fish and chips; both times extremely greasy. My husband and I ordered...Rhode Island clear chowder. No flavor, no herbs, no onions; just bland.More

Slammed on Columbus Day! We made a reservation and were promptly sat for our dinner! Great to see the tiki bar open for drinks still! Our server Sela was fantastic! And the special the Mediterranean swordfish was super unique and fresh, also had pan seared...scallops, perfectly paired with asparagus! Can’t wait to come back! They seem to have a ton of winter deals!More

After recently moving to beautiful Narragansett, I heard that George's was a RI staple with a gorgeous view and the freshest seafood around. It's located right in the picturesque fishing port of Galilee, and my server Erika told me that all of their seafood comes...fresh right off the docks! After asking her for some recommendations, I decided to try the whole roasted fish. The catch of the day all depends on what the fishermen bring in that day - the day I visited it was Fluke! Erika explained that not only is this fish caught locally which supports the fishermen, but it is also a very sustainable option. I was so happy to hear that this is something that George's considers when serving seafood. I also had some $1 oysters during Buck A Shuck (all day every Tuesday!) which Erika told me were grown on a farm right down the road. George's even took her and their other servers on a tour of the farm last week so they could learn more about the process and share that information with us, which is so awesome! Erika was very knowledgeable and friendly, and of course the view of the setting sun was to die for! Plus they are doing a great job keeping everyone socially distanced, and Erika offered me hand sanitizer throughout my meal. This made me feel very comfortable dining here. George's is now my favorite restaurant in Narragansett!More

We always loved Georges of Galilee. It was delicious and predictable. We made it a regular spot for dinner. I don't know what happened. I think they lost their head chef? Anyway, the last 2 times were awful. This past time it was Lobsterfest and...I ordered the claws. The first one was delicious and I started thinking we had an "off" night the prior visit. But then every other claw was tasteless or even bitter. On the prior visit I had cod which I normally get. It was tough and dry. The sides for many dishes are coleslaw which I don't like, and fries, which I'm trying to stay away from. They don't have baked potatoes and salads are optional and overpriced (I think $5). We will try again next spring, but we would hope they get their act together before that.More

Had dinner Saturday night and sat at the inside back bar. It's off season but the tiki bar was rocking outside and there was a wait. There are many options of places to sit but if you don't want to wait, the back bar is...almost always free, still has a beautiful view and quite roomy. We ordered Mai Tais and sauteed calamari. They have the deep fried kind but we enjoy the sauteed one. Our only disappointment was the sirloin dish we ordered to split (why we didn't order a seafood dish is beyond me!). They don't have a filet mignon which would have been a better choice. The asparagus side was extra but worth it and mashed potatoes made up for the dryness of the steak. Bartenders and waitstaff are always friendly and there's always a good game to watch on t.v. or watch the boats and Block Island ferry go by. We will of course visit again as it's our go-to restaurant especially during the summertime months.More

Alyssa the bartender was so wonderful! We enjoyed her company and were never left waiting for refills. We would return just to have her as a bartender again!

We love George’s. The seafood pot pie is my personal favorite. Taylor C. was our server recently and she provided us with service. Very knowledgeable about the menu. Looking forward to our next visit.
