This was our fifth time visiting with family during our annual beach weekend. We always look forward to eating at Spain but unfortunately they fell a little short this time. We had reservations for a large party including a few kids and had to wait...about 30 minutes to be seated. Once inside the service was much slower while the waiter (same as last year) seemed rushed and not always attentive. The food was all very good, as we’d expect with the price.More

We had dinner here the other night. Like every restaurant, there seem to be some staffing issues. The waiter didn’t greet us for a solid 15 minutes after we were seated. We almost left. We had the calamari as an appetizer. It was good, not...great. My dining companion had the lobster ravioli. It was very good. I had the vodka pasta with scallops. It was good, not great. The waiter probably had too many tables. He wasn’t good about bringing our wine with dinner and he seemed quite harried. Be prepared to wait. It’s also quite loud inside.More

Dinner at Spain: pleasant atmosphere, fantastic service and good food. I recommend the scallops and turtle cheesecake. The complimentary bread is delicious. The paella is tasty. Portions are large.

We sat at the bar to have dinner. After a round of drinks, neither bartender took our order for 45 minutes!! It was busy and it looked like they were understaffed, but they didn’t even attempt to take our order or say,”we’ll be with you...in a minute.” We we’re ignored for 45 minutes at the bar. We’ve never had such lousy service. That was really frustrating to say the least. After being here for over 1 hour, we were finally served and the food was “fair.”My wife had paella and I had stuffed chicken which was about as tender as shoe leather. It’s easy to say that we’ll never go back and highly recommend not going here to spend good money!More

Enjoyed our dinner for two. Service was very quick and attentive. Wonderful wine list. Enjoyed the calamari to start. Entrees , Mariscada Spain very good and I asked for the chef’s pasta to be added which they did for an extra $3 but worth it, and...Arroz con Pollo , was ok but not out of this world . Recommend this restaurant.More

We are regulars. Some very good items on the menu. Service is second to none. But we do not go for the Paella. It is not authentic. More of a basic rice dish which is disappointing. You can't order Paella and get delivered to your...table in 8 minutes. I am picturing a huge vat made nightly sitting in the kitchen.More

Quick summary: a wide menu of seafood, pastas, meats, etc. Very reasonable prices for the quality. Friendly, professional service. Once again, our rather large family gathering had a wonderful dinner here -- everyone could order off the menu, and served at the same time. We...order a variety of items, including some shareable plates. and it is all fresh and tasty. Our local family also came in smaller groups at other times, but it is always a masterpiece of logistics to serve when we have the larger group. The menu is wide, and has something for everyone and every dietary need (vegan, gluten-free, etc.) You can also put together a nice meal of small plates, e.g. mussels, clams, soups, etc. We often start with shareable first course plates of the Picasso salad ($9.50), calamari ($14.) My husband always looks forward to the swordfish special in season -- he loves swordfish, and claims that Spain prepares it the best of anyone, anywhere. The rest of the group had a wide variety -- my favorite veal corunesa, and others had paella, assorted seafood, pastas, mussels, etc. There is a lot of Mediterranean influence. The pastas with white or red sauce can had some protein tossed on top. Most mains are in the mid-to-higher $20's, and come with a starch side and veg. Again, everyone was very happy with their food. Full bar with good cocktails, and a nice list of wines by the glass, but the bottles are well-priced and offer a really nice range from Spain, Portugal, Italy, and more. (Yes, the family puts the bar through a range of drinks and wines.) Nice range of desserts, including key lime pie, mixed berry cake, ice creams and sorbets, chocolate truffle mousse cake, etc. Good coffee -- thank you!! Many restaurants don't treat the coffee with respect, but this place does. Very reasonable prices, especially for the quality of the food and service. Expert, friendly, professional service. Even with a big table, the "leader" waitstaff can organize a few others to help everyone get served in a reasonable time. And again, even when we visit with smaller parties, the service is always first-rate. My only complaint is that I don't live closer to this place -- I would be a regular and work my way through the menu. My cousins are fortunate to live in the area, and often rely on this place when they hear a pork chop dinner calling. or other excellent options. The dining room can get on the loud side, but things quiet down when the food is served. There is also a bar area where food can be ordered, and an outside patio in nice weather. Good COVID safety practices all around. So -- of course I'll be back the next time I am in the area. IT's a good reason to move to Narragansett.More

This was our first time at Spain and it won’t be our last! Our server, Yool, was attentive, had a touch of humor, and helped make the experience so pleasant. THE FOOD...I had the Chicken Spain which was stuffed with lobster, artichoke hearts, ham, cheese,...and more...baked to a golden crust...fresh vegex and a bowl of pasta. I would order the same meal again..and In Fact have enough left over to enjoy again. I highly recommend SPAIN!More

Unfriendly hostess moved us aside to seat a family before us. Waiter was unfriendly and got our order wrong trying at first to make it seem like our mistake. 15 minutes later we got the right meal. Pork chop was dry and tasteless. Replaces meal...of chicken ajillo was nothing like we have had in a Spanish restaurant. Supposed to be a garlic oil sauce. This was a salty broth. Ok so make it right, comp a meal or dessert, cocktail, nothing!!! Seemed annoyed that we didn’t like the meal or that the wrong food came out. Bad experience won’t return or recommendMore

Delicious sole francese. Everyone at our table enjoyed their entrees. Paella marinara was excellent. Caesar salad dressing lacking in flavor. Can’t wait to go back for another fish dish.

Great menu and service. Found both the veal chop and rack of lamb beautifully presented but pretty dry and tough. Also forgot our salad. Also odd experience, while trying to make a reservation for two had three people want to join us for our 6...pm reservation. While on the phone asked if I could make reservation for 5 rather than 2. They said no, had to stick with the 2. They had MANY empty tables and could have easily accommodated us. Told the waiter and he said “tell the girl up front.” I didn’t think that would be productive so I said I’d prefer to mention it to a manager or owner. He pointed out someone he said was an owner, but she wasn’t available when we were leaving. I probably should have waited around, but it wasn’t that big a deal..More

Our reservation was for six. Unfortunately a couple could not make it. We were being seated. My husband is left handed(a round table is better) We always order a lot of appetizers and drinks, along with entrees and dessert. I asked that we may have...the round table to the left. I was told “ that is for party of five.” We were seated at the smaller table. (My husband and son are big men). We were crowded together,Eventually they did bring a small side table . It could have been a much more pleasurable experience . Waiter was nice and orders were correct. Table was absurdly small for our group. (THAT TABLE FOR 5 REMAINED EMPTY THE ENTIRE TIME.) I prefer a restaurant that is accommodating. I don’t care to go there again.More

We started with clams casino, grilled chorizo, calamari. Good thing I enjoyed these starters. I decided on a Caesar salad for my entree what a mistake. The fresh romaine was old wilted brown I cannot explain how disgusting it was. OK you say "send it...back", no I would never do that because of what might be put in front of me a second time. It being summer with farmers markets everywhere really surprising that this situation happened to me.More
