with outstanding service as its focus and great food as its goal along with all of the things needed to give you an outstanding meal experience then this is a restaurant that does all of the great things that will make this a true experience to remember. From the moment you enter you are treated as someone very special and it goes thru the entire meal this way;.. A true Gem, not hidden but this place is like a fine wine. It just gets better with age.

Love Reservations

A complete turnaround not having to eat upstairs. Very happy, waiter fanstastic, food delicious, corona virus spacing great, have been here 3 times for dinner since June and going again this week. So much better then waiting in the crowded bar to go to our favorite local restaraunt.

My month of June vacation.

I eat at this restaurant every Friday and Saturday night. If you like swordfish it is the best you will every eat. It is cooked just the right way your taste buds enjoy. There veal spain is out of this world. Over the many years I have been going here I have not had a bad meal. The bartenders are all very nice and helpful and attentive to there customers. The wait staff is second to none. As for management Joe who seats many customers is very curtious to all he comes in contact with. He really makes the front part of this restaurant work.

Very Disappointed

After hearing many people rave about Spain of Narragansett, I made reservations and took my wife here on 8/15/2020 for her birthday. We were seated as per our reservation for 6. Atmosphere: nothing special. Service: Shortly after we were seated, a server provided us with bread and water; we then waited for 10 to 15 minutes before our server introduced himself and asked for our drink order. My wife had red sangria – not very good at all. I ordered a bourbon smash but received bourbon on the rocks. Server replied that the bartender was unsure of how to make it – well, if you’re unsure of how to make a drink you can always google it. I explained the basic ingredients to our server and he returned with a drink made in a beer mug, slid it in front of me and said “try this”, it tasted like a whiskey sour. Our table was the only one that did not have a lit candle – small detail, but we noticed. Food: For appetizers we had calamari which was ok, not fresh and a special caprese salad, which was outstanding, best item we tried. Then came our entree's: my wife had the new york sirloin, which was just ok. I had the mariscada spain, the seafood was not fresh and the dish had too much soggy spinach. When the best part of your dining experience is paying the bill and leaving, something is wrong!

Hi Michael, We are training many new staff and it seems one of our new server didn’t deliver your drinks correctly and might have set the tone for your unfavorable visit but I assure you, our food is fresh cook to order and fresh seafood delivered daily from the Galilee port nearby only 5 minutes away. We understand you had a disappointing experience and we would love to change that. Upon entering, I notice the expression on the hostess face that we were black. After being seated, One of the waiters brought water over and sat in front of us and didn’t pour it into the glass for us. Let me tell you we had to wait 15 minutes just to order appetizers and wine. The whole experience was just blowing, The service at your establishment is something to be desired. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. The atmosphere, the service and the food sucks here no flavor, just blah. I’ll stick to more established Restaurants Like Las Andes, Spain’s of Cranston, Capital Grill were they treat their customers with more respect . My you I’m A respected Black business of Cranston. I will never come back to this restaurant.

Amazing Paella Valenciana! We had the best experience at Spain of Narragansett! The waiter Yule was so nice and great with our kids. They were so flexible with kid friendly menu options and when our group changed sizes TWICE they were so flexible about seating us. The Paella Valencia was so tasty and the Red Sangaria was solid. Portion sizes are generous. Highly recommended if you are in the Narragansett area.

Fabulous food and service

This was our first time at Spain and it won’t be our last! Our server, Yool, was attentive, had a touch of humor, and helped make the experience so pleasant. THE FOOD...I had the Chicken Spain which was stuffed with lobster, artichoke hearts, ham, cheese, and more...baked to a golden crust...fresh vegex and a bowl of pasta. I would order the same meal again..and In Fact have enough left over to enjoy again. I highly recommend SPAIN!

What happened to Spain?

We always look forward to dining at Spain during our annual vacation but something has changed and it's not for the better. The service was adequate, but not as attentive as it used to be - including waiting several minutes to be acknowledged by the hosts although there were three of them at the entrance. Bread arrived frozen in the middle and inedible. The Arroz con Pollo has become mostly soupy rice with very little chicken or flavor which is a shame as it used to be one of the best dishes on the menu. The baked stuffed lobster claimed to include stuffing with shrimp and scallops but it honestly tasted like someone scooped Stove Top stuffing on top and sent it out to the table. Such a major disappointment from a restaurant we had grown to love - sad to say we won't be back.

Unfriendly hostess moved us aside to seat a family before us. Waiter was unfriendly and got our order wrong trying at first to make it seem like our mistake. 15 minutes later we got the right meal. Pork chop was dry and tasteless. Replaces meal of chicken ajillo was nothing like we have had in a Spanish restaurant. Supposed to be a garlic oil sauce. This was a salty broth. Ok so make it right, comp a meal or dessert, cocktail, nothing!!! Seemed annoyed that we didn’t like the meal or that the wrong food came out. Bad experience won’t return or recommend

Excellent food but felt rushed

Recently vacationed in Narragansett with family. Had friends down to visit and wanted to bring them to Spain since they had heard us rave about the food. We made reservations weeks in advance so we could enjoy the experience. Food was excellent as always (Rack of Lamb and Stuffed Veal Chop) but I felt totally rushed during entire meal- reservations were at 6 and out the door at 7:00- This was even with an appetizer first! I admit they were busy but there were empty tables and no one waiting in lobby.

We had the takeout paella

We had the takeout paella Valenciana for two. The portion would have fed four. It was mostly quite good, but the fish chunks in it were very overcooked and hard. The shellfish were fine, as was the flavoring of the saffron rice. The curbside pickup was organized well.

My husband and I had been wanting to try the Spain Restaurant for quite awhile. We finally went there for dinner recently. We weren't disappointed! My husband had made reservations for the outdoor terrace. It's a relaxed atmosphere out on the terrace and when it started to get darker they have stringed lighting that they turned on that just added to the ambiance! I had ordered an Amaretto Sour. It was really good. For dinner I had ordered The Pasta De Vigo w/Shrimp. The shrimp had a nice grilled flavor to them. This pasta dish has Romano & sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil, Absolut Vodka, garlic & herbs w/pasta. The pasta sauce was very flavorful! My husband had ordered one of the Specials that night that was identical to the pasta dish I ordered except that his pasta dish had scallops and lobster tail meat that was kept in the lobster tail that was cracked down the center and placed in the center of his pasta dish. He really liked what he ordered, also. The portions were really generous! The only negative for me was that I wish that our waiter had been more present. If he had come over to our table more often than he did; I wouldn't have felt at times that he had forgotten about us.

THE WORST SERVICE EVER!!

We sat at the bar to have dinner. After a round of drinks, neither bartender took our order for 45 minutes!! It was busy and it looked like they were understaffed, but they didn’t even attempt to take our order or say,”we’ll be with you in a minute.” We we’re ignored for 45 minutes at the bar. We’ve never had such lousy service. That was really frustrating to say the least. After being here for over 1 hour, we were finally served and the food was “fair.”My wife had paella and I had stuffed chicken which was about as tender as shoe leather. It’s easy to say that we’ll never go back and highly recommend not going here to spend good money!

Two ladies for dinner at 6 pm. Wanted Octopus served with a pasta and veg instead of being served on mashed potatoes, just didn't do it for me. Apparently, you take how they present it or change your order. Would not do it. So got the stuffed chicken breast special,stuffed with atichokes, lobster, and olives for $35, not worth $20. We both had it, It apparently was flash deep fried, as just the edges were fried crispy, I opened it up to see the stuffing, which was like a spread of mayonaise withone 1/2 of inch red thing, that must have been lobster, not one piece of artichoke or black olive, waste of money. Came with rice or mashed potato and vegsl. Same sides for everything. Very disappointing and after being one of my favorite dining spots will not go back. When you say stuffed, you should be able to see something, not s spread of something, plus I don't like fried, and it was never mentioned it was fried. Too bad thought it would be great now with reservations, but poor customer service with food choice changes , will not help them. Apparently they are not a cook to individual, they are all lined up waiting for the next diner. Good bye Spain.

Great menu and service. Found both the veal chop and rack of lamb beautifully presented but pretty dry and tough. Also forgot our salad. Also odd experience, while trying to make a reservation for two had three people want to join us for our 6 pm reservation. While on the phone asked if I could make reservation for 5 rather than 2. They said no, had to stick with the 2. They had MANY empty tables and could have easily accommodated us. Told the waiter and he said “tell the girl up front.” I didn’t think that would be productive so I said I’d prefer to mention it to a manager or owner. He pointed out someone he said was an owner, but she wasn’t available when we were leaving. I probably should have waited around, but it wasn’t that big a deal..
