We headed here after our visit to Beavertail. Actually went here because of rating on trip advisor. Sandwiches were good..the only negative would be they don't have a huge selection. We sat on the outdoor patio and it was really nice. They have wonderful plantings that fence off the fact that you are right on a main street.

Only open a few days a week this place bakes incredible breads and makes some very nice pizzas. My only complaint would be that they do not make enough breads. My favorite"raisin/walnut" is often sold out on the One day they make it Sunday by 11 am.

I go whenever they're open and have been for years. A lovely bakery and gathering place. The best pastries I've found. And I've lived in NYC Chicago Boston and elsewhere. A community gathering place on a charming island in Narraganset Bay, RI. If you're nearby, go!! Say hi to Dori and Andreas.

We were on our way to Newport and wanted to grab a quick bite fast. This little piece of heaven has tasty breads and so much more! We had a chicken and red pepper sandwich and another offering- but could easily have had a yummy salad or other to go options There are clean tables inside and on the casual... More

The Village Hearth is an unusually broad spectrum cafe. It bakes fine Italian and French breads. It sells excellent sandwiches and serves coffees and tea. On good weather, its deck is a great spot for leisurely conversation. The only negative is its short week. The Village Hearth is open Friday - Sunday.

Simply astonishing - I have never seen this kind of authentic European craftsmanship of food outside of Europe... and I am an E.U. citizen. To just chance upon it under a gorgeous wisteria trellis on the way to Jamestown's shoreline was almost as amazing as finding all the options for natural healthy baked goods they offer. And it all comes... More

We stopped here for breakfast & coffee and ended up going back the same night for the brick oven pizza! The eggs were the fluffiest I've ever eaten. Everything was delicious, the coffee was hot and the pizzas divine. This is a family owned/operated business that puts an emphasis on quality. Everything is made from scratch. Can't go wrong with... Great bakery, cafe, and more. Coffees, hot and cold drinks; breakfasts; paninis; desserts and pastries, breads, wood fired pizza, on and on... Friendly service and good, fresh food. Great outdoor deck eating area as well as indoor seating. A very enjoyable dining experience. Be sure to bring CASH. Plastic is not accepted here.

The young couple that own this bakery, knows how to bake. This is a quirky, garden setting business. There are a few small tables, inside and out. Most of their business, is take out. Grab a coffee, homemade pastry, or a loaf of bread. Couldn't ask for any better.
