the coffee and baked items are very good here. Pizza on sundays a fun Jamestown thing to do. I have found that occasionally the service is a bit off when they are busy.

We visit this bakery whenever we are in Jamestown, and although they have very abbreviated open times, they are never without customers waiting for their delicious baked goods. We had a sticky bun and a macaroon, both delicious. Their bread--although I now only eat wild yeast sourdough from Berkshire Mountain is the best of bakery breads.

So much more than a bakery. Although, their muffins and breads are delicious. They also serve sandwiches. While not a huge variety (generally 4 or 5 to choose from) there is something to please everyone. Our only complaint is that they are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the Fall season, otherwise we would have been there everyday!

We headed here after our visit to Beavertail. Actually went here because of rating on trip advisor. Sandwiches were good..the only negative would be they don't have a huge selection. We sat on the outdoor patio and it was really nice. They have wonderful plantings that fence off the fact that you are right on a main street.

Only open a few days a week this place bakes incredible breads and makes some very nice pizzas. My only complaint would be that they do not make enough breads. My favorite"raisin/walnut" is often sold out on the One day they make it Sunday by 11 am.

I go whenever they're open and have been for years. A lovely bakery and gathering place. The best pastries I've found. And I've lived in NYC Chicago Boston and elsewhere. A community gathering place on a charming island in Narraganset Bay, RI. If you're nearby, go!! Say hi to Dori and Andreas.

We were on our way to Newport and wanted to grab a quick bite fast. This little piece of heaven has tasty breads and so much more! We had a chicken and red pepper sandwich and another offering- but could easily have had a yummy salad or other to go options There are clean tables inside and on the casual... More

The Village Hearth is an unusually broad spectrum cafe. It bakes fine Italian and French breads. It sells excellent sandwiches and serves coffees and tea. On good weather, its deck is a great spot for leisurely conversation. The only negative is its short week. The Village Hearth is open Friday - Sunday.

Simply astonishing - I have never seen this kind of authentic European craftsmanship of food outside of Europe... and I am an E.U. citizen. To just chance upon it under a gorgeous wisteria trellis on the way to Jamestown's shoreline was almost as amazing as finding all the options for natural healthy baked goods they offer. And it all comes... More
