We had a really nice quiet lunch. The food was very good and the service was very attentive. A good spot for families

We were over on Jamestown and we decided to have dinner. We stopped by as the menu looked appealing. My husband had the New England seafood au gratin and stated it was wonderful. Very rich. I had the shrimp scampi. The scampi was good but the pasta was a little too al dente for my liking. We had the wedge... More
I was looking for steak and my husband wanted chowder. Food was good but not exceptional. There were several folks gathered around the bar area watching sports on the TV. Looked like a friendly gathering place. Service was good and we enjoyed our meals. Jamestown is a small, almost sleepy town and we were staying for a few days. It's... More
Great food and service. We ate there two times and enjoyed every bite. Fish and seafood was what we were looking for and Chopmist was the place.
I had lunch here and it was quite nice! I had the tuna salad platter for $13 and it was quite large. I could not finish it. My friend had the 50/50 which was a soup and sandwich combo. The sandwich was quite large. My cousin had the wedge salad and clam strips and they were delicious. There is a... More
Loved staying in Jamestown for a few days but very limited dining. Chose Chopmist Charlie's over other establishments one night. Quite a few tables were filled. Service was slow. Food just ok. We ate in Newport next two nights
This is a very casual restaurant with good food. The service is a little slow but all 12 of us got our order at the same time and it was correct.

There are... More
On a Saturday afternoon taking in the views at the Jamestown lighthouse we ventured into town for lunch. After browsing around we settled on Chopmist Charlie's. Settled turned out to be the operative word. Food - so/so, service so/so. Overall just mediocre at best. Dark wood motif didn't feel cozy. Just dark. Jamestown is lovely. The lighthouse views are stunning.... More
It was one of the best places to eat. What happened?????I had the baked stuffed shrimp, way over done. I should have known something was wrong when we didn't have to stand in line to get in and the place was just about empty. Now I know why. Might try it one more time just to see if it was... More
