I found the food fussy and the servings portions small. The service slow and inattentive. I have eaten down stairs and in the bar area upstairs. Twice upstairs I thought the bar tender and the wait staff forgot about us. The seafood sausage years ago was smelly and the linguini and clams was no different that what I could make... More

When an eatery does it right, it is simply wonderful, and Jamestown Fish does it right. The menu offers varied seafood and American choices--from hamburgers in the bar upstairs, to appetizers and entrees in the five-star dining room, with service that is elegant and knowledgeable. We had mentioned it was our anniversary and the chef sent out some roasted squash... More

We had dinner at Jamestown Fish over Thanksgiving weekend 2016. After we shared a dozen delicious Rhode Island oysters, I had the scup in homemade green curry sauce on a bed of celeriac and spinach. The fish was cooked perfectly, with a salty, crispy exterior. The curry was so tasty I wanted to lick the plate. Then for dessert, I... More

For date night, my husband and I decided to try our Jamestown fish during Newport Restaurant week. We made a reservation fairly easily and arrived prior to the reservation. We were seated fairly quickly and did not have to wait. We both opted for the restaurant week menu and overall the food was good. The menu seemed limited for the... More

A terrific restaurant. We ate outside on their patio which had a limited, but still delightful, menu. Highly recommended!

I was a little apprehensive about making a second trip to Jamestown Fish. Our first visit, in July 2015, was extraordinary. Would it live up to the memories? Yes it would. With the changed season we were greeted by a menu that included cold-weather fish and vegetables and sauces that were more robust and complex. For starters, I had Cape... More

The food and service at fish is outstanding. I love the octopus. The wine list is also fabulous as well as the cocktails.

We sat at the outside bar and had pizza and burgers and the pizza is some of the best pizza I've ever had. The crust is crispy all the way through and The Taste was just out of this world! I believe they have 4 different menus throughout the restaurant which gives a great variety if you're looking for something... More

I've been to Jamestown Fish a few times & it's wonderful! Professional service, lovely atmosphere & the food is delicious! I had the caprese salad to start every time & I love it! Delicious mozzarella! Last time I had the lobster & pasta which was flavorful & just scrumptious! They serve their yummy bread warm (a must for me to... More

Had some delicious oysters, sister had the fish soup that was fair, intense fish taste but nothing else discernible. Husband got scallops that were good, but sliced up to appear more plentiful than they really were. Nice, warm bread was very tasty. Best part of meal was a lemon polenta cake with almond cream for dessert. Homespun peach ice cream... More
