Based on a friend's recommendation, my husband and I visited Fish today at lunch for the first time. We sat outside, and were truly looking forward to a positive experience. In short, we will not go back. The service was slow, and the waitress inattentive. We had to flag down someone to refill our water, not once, but three times.... More

We were unable to eat here because they don't have high chairs. They clearly don't want business from families.

We dined in the inside part of this fairly new place. Outside has a busy bar and nice seating areas with a different menu and a pizza oven Inside there are some 10/12 white tablecloths tables , service is excellent and not too formal Food is geared to fish, as the name implies, but some other dishes are available. The... More

The first time I ate lunch here (three years ago) I chose the steak frites and it was delicious. I went again this summer and ordered the same thing. The steak arrived lukewarm and the fries were very average. My friends were not happy with the fish meals they ordered. Portions were all very small. To spend $27-35 for a... More

After eating at several high quality, high priced restaurants in the Newport area and being very pleased, I was very disappointed in Jamestown Fish. High prices, microscopic servings and an hour and a half wait until you got served. $19 crab appetizer amounted to 4 forkfuls of food . $32 scallop dinner amounted to 4 scallops and nothing else. The... More

My wife and I took friends here based upon their suggestion as we are not from the area. There are not many dinning options in this town so this was it. It was so loud, presuming that drink was taking its toll on civil talking by the crowd there, and we could hardly hear each other in normal conversation. It... More

We had the pleasure of doing a cookery course at the restaurant, it's was outstanding... The food was exquisite, simple but delicious. The chef's new their stuff and are really friendly. I'll be back with the family next time.

We stopped here for dinner after the jazz festival, and were seated within 20 minutes despite being told the wait was longer. They had bluefish on the menu, which is rare. My Dad and my friend both had it and said it was delicious. I had a cod in a hot pepper broth, cooked perfectly and just a nice amount... More

Yup, it's pretty food and it's not bad, but ridiculously expensive and ridiculously small portions. Prepare to spend a lot and walk out hungry.

Following a concert in town we walked to Fish restaurant, the inside dining was closed, but we enjoyed a wonderful dinner and drinks on the inviting patio. My flounder dish was delicious. Very convenient spot in town.
