The best chicken marsala ever! The chicken melts in your mouth. They have renovated the place now. It looks like a typical Italian neighborhood with clothes line and clothes hanging. Very homey place. Highly recommended.

I love macera,s chicken soup. I usually make my own. But when I'm too tired this is the next best thing. I've tried chicken soup at a number of restaurants but this one is the best.

I only come here for soup. Go to the back and get it from take out area by the gallon. Every soup is worth its weight in gold. It might look shady but they make their soups with the best ingredients and never skimp on them

My friend and I go for the fantastic soup and bread. The variety selection of salads are great. I have gone for a meal at Macera's with my husband and we had no complaints. My chicken parm was moist and tasty. It's a small place but the service and the food are great. You can go in for the take... More

My mother and one of her friends brought me here for lunch, and I had to remind myself to tell the server I wanted "meatless" sauce. I'm also happy you can come here for dinner before dancing at Mardi Gras!

The banquet room is just gorgeous. Twinkling lights give it a very romantic space. The food is great. I've been to sports banquets and wedding receptions. Both were great. But in the other side, they sell their awesome soups. It's the only place I will get soup if I don't make it myself. Super good!!

This was our first time there since the renovation and relocation within the same building. New bar area looked very nice. The restaurant was fairly busy. We sat in the dining area. Nice decor with a patriotic touch. Nothing overly done, the place smelled great and made you hungry. The service: Lemon water and bread were immediately brought to our... More

Went to Macera's with a colleague on a layover in Providence. The food and service was outstanding and the prices were very reasonable. The portions were big and the quality was fantastic. This place is not a "chain" resturant. It is authentic, home made Italian and has a "locals" atmosphere. For 2 guys from NY to give 5 stars.... You... More
