I've driven by this restaurant for years, but never had the opportunity to stop. We took my elderly mother here for lunch on a Sunday. The weather was perfect as we sat on the back patio looking over the water with boats bobbing. Not only was the setting great, but the food was good too. My husband and mother had... More

The Lobster Pot is a great restaurant with terrific food. This restaurant has a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the water. A wonderful place for a quiet and romantic dinner or a special occasion.

We made a Sunday excursion from Newport to the charming, historic town of Bristol. Just outside of town, we spied this restaurant overlooking Naragansett Bay and when hunger struck a few hours later we decided to return for a late lunch. For company, we had a only smattering of occupied tables and a large family…reunion? reception?... that spilled over from... More

Love this place for the great water view. It is very popular, especially with the older crowd that have been coming here for years. The owner, Jeff, is a class act. The waitstaff are fantastic. Now only if the food was better. My wife and I have been somewhat infrequent visitors to this restaurant since moving to Bristol several years... More

I have been coming here occasionally for at least 30 years. It's notable features are its great view of the bay outside its large windows, it's feeling of being a favorited the locals, and decent seafood. I think the quality has improved over the years. The raw shellfish and shrimp cocktail have always been great. Last night I had the... More

Wonderful, hearty, bountiful lobster salad with fabulous big chunks of perfectly cooked lobster. And the baked stuffed lobster at dinner was equally good and easy to eat.

Going back at least 10 years, my family and I have visited the Lobster Pot 2-3 times each year. Every time I leave, I promise myself that I won't return. It is a great location, and parking is fairly convenient! Unfortunately, management must think that they can charge Newport prices solely based on their view of the water!! The food... More

This restaurant has been a mainstay of the middle class eating crowd on the waterfront in Bristol, RI for at least 30 years. The parking lot was always full and still is; however, I discovered on a recent visit as a guest of family members that The Lobster Pot has become a drinking establishment with a loud bar and live... Food was not bad, but nothing to brag about. Service just OK. I was missing my napkin and utensils. Nobody checked if I need my drink refill. Food very expensive for quality and service. The only thing we were impressed with was the beatiful view.

We stopped for a lobster roll and drink. The food was delicious, the view beautiful, the service at the bar warm, friendly and attentive.
