Worst service- worst food. It’s horrible. Don’t go! So many things wrong-from start to finish. Manager made excuses for bad food, claiming “everyone Else loves it”.. friends birthday dinner- horrible. We had to send food back twice. Just a very unprofessional atmosphere. We felt sick...after eating the wings- etc...Unprofessional. Would love to tell owners about our horrible experience.More

I traveled about an hour to meet a friend on Saturday, August 1, 2020, in the afternoon, for a late lunch, at 1pm. I arrived first and asked for a menu. I was standing between the counter and door and a grey haired man named...Chris asked “Are you going to order?” He appeared to be disturbed I was there, as he seemed impatient. I told him I was waiting for someone and would like to dine in. Because of COVID, they only have 4 dine in tables and they were all full. I asked if he thought the wait would be long and he pointed to the dining room and said “how am I supposed to know, go ask them”. I felt that was a rude response. I asked if they were just sat or nearly ready to go. He felt someone might leave soon. I took a seat by the door and my friend arrived. We decided to place a to go order since there were no tables available. The same man, Chris, came to take our order. We ordered, and gave the him a 15% off coupon. He said we couldn’t use the coupon because it was “one per table, and you are ordering take out”. My response Was, “we wanted to dine in but there are no tables“. He said, “take it up with the governor. You can save it and use it next time.” Really!!!??? My response was, “IF there is a next time”. I paid , and we sat down near the door to wait for our food. We witnessed this same man be rude to two other people who were picking up carry out orders. There was another younger man working who was extremely courteous. The restaurant was lovely and appeared to be clean, The food was delicious, and the wait to cook our order was within reason. The food was hot, tasty and delicious. The drinks and extra ice we asked for was given to us with a smile and thank you by the younger man. I feel sorry for the young guy who had to work work with this older, rude jerk. He is certainly not an asset to the business. The food is great! The restaurant was lovely. The wait time for our food was acceptable. Beware of the 45ish year old, grey haired, rude man, named Chris.More

My husband and I stopped here for supper on a Saturday about 5:30.It was busy but no one was in charge of seating customers. Finally we were recognized and taken to 2 tables next to each other. We were given the choice between the two....We sat a a table and the person said out waiter would be there shortly. A few minutes later they seated a party of one at the other table we had been given given the choice of. Still no waiter at our table, no water , no drinks order. We were patient until the table that had been seated after us got drinks and their order taken! So we got up and left.More

We started off the night Jealous of the neighboring table. Their server, a man, took time with them, knew specials by heart, explained them with zeal, and seemed to know the right moment to come to a table. Our server then arrived with none of...these skills, and in truth, the atmosphere made it really hard to forgive her for her slacking, although the food did help some. When you walk into this almost new sort of international style building you find a cavernous interior with TVs on (killer for me) and a pizza counter straight ahead of you and a dining room to your left. the dining room is not severed or shielded from the Pizza operation and the noise of pizza service and take out competes (which includes a blaring klaxon when the oven has timed out) with the din of the TVs to render you nearly senseless. Dazed you find a seat in a perimeter booth or at one of the 8 or so four tops in the center of the room. The menu is like the room: large, loud, confusing and numbing. The room has shades of circus bright orange in it but I cant recall what was that color: only that it hurt to look around. Our table was an epoxied table with about $31.27 in pennies sandwiched between the wood and the epoxy. (Counting pennies and looking at dates on them was probably the most comforting visual in the room besides my companion. Our waitress somehow made it to our table, got us menus, offered us no real explanation of specials and in no way made us feel like we were somehow worth her effort: for some undiscernable reason she seemed to be "mailing it in" for the night. In subsequent conversations it was revealed that she had been there at least two years so her still being there seems to validate Woody Allen's theory that 99% of a relationship is just showing up. It took real effort not to get up and leave the whole circus but we were both hungry so we stayed put. I am italian and I cook and I wanted something I could not easily get at home so I looked for what was different and I found an Eggplant Rollatini that was hands down delicate, inventive, well executed, filling, and marvelous. the dish was a 1/8" thick piece of Eggplant about 3.5" in diameter that was breaded in seasoned crumbs and lightly fried. While the piece was still hot a genius in the kitchen rolled it to form a 1.5" diameter roll and stuffed the center with a mixed cheese filling that was nothing short of heavenly. My entre was preceded by a Caesar salad with generous 1/2" wide parmesan shavings and a well executed Caesar dressing. My wife made the mistake of ordering a special that was supposed to be Chicken Marsala. Her plate consisted of cheese, chicken, asparagus over a Rotini Pasta and in short I found it "meh". The garden salad she had, celebrated the end of summer with a blonde tomato and uninspiring iceberg lettuce. My entre, My salad, and the bread were the stars of the evening with service, pasta, and atmosphere appearing as solid detractors. The Menu features 6-8 different pastas and you can take your pick of pasta style with any meal. If the pasta we had was home made it was unlike any my mom or grandmom or godmother ever made: it was uninspiring. If I was king of this restaurant, I would separate pizza service from dining, donate the TVs, add some good music, tone down the dining room circus colors, cut the menu in half, and focus on a mix of home made pasta dishes and niche or boutique dishes like my rollatini. I would also get my waitress an attitude adjustment and split the remaining dining room to form a half pizza eating spot and half warm fine dining room, as food like the rollatini, bread, and slaad I had can support fine dining and a bigger price. This place DESPERATELY needs help with its drink menu: Pepsi products is it. No herbal tea, no sparkling water and no BYOB setups. Overall, I was disappointed and I likely will not go back except maybe to order Rollatini for pick up.More

Always enjoy the food at Caruso! Everyone is friendly. The only downside I would say would be the parking.
