We had an excellent dinner at Disalvos. From appetizers to desserts, they nailed it. Salmon, pasta, and steaks were all good.

We walked to the restaurant from downtown, took 10 minutes, easy. The restaurant seems to have various dining spaces. This was not the lounge next door. We were seated in the cucina grotto downstairs watching the kitchen. At first we were a little skeptical and...jealous given the open airy outdoor or elegant upstairs options, but soon were pleased. The kitchen has a wood fired pizza oven and the aromatherapy is to die for, plus watching the chefs is a nice touch. I had a beet salad and saffron scallop risotto. Owen had a grilled ceasar and steak. Unbelievable amazing food! His steak was a great cut of meat enhanced on the wood fire grill with smokey deliciousness. My scallops were washed and seared/caramelized to perfection. Service was impeccable. We were so happy we had dessert and prosecco (which we rarely do). The tiaramisu was outstanding. We are already planning a second visit. Thank you to DiSalvos for a truly delicious evening.More

We are out of towners but get her once a year or so. I love the food. The service is never the best but is adequate. We usually sit in the kitchen area which is more rustic and casual. The pastas are made on site...and are always excellent. The pizzas are also great. Our favorite dish is the grilled Caeser salad. I have never had a bad meal here and are not sure where some of the negative reviews come from.More

We had lunch at DiSalvo's. Wonderful lunch. The salads were great and my husband's meal was good, too!

If you want a good meal with good service - avoid this place. Spent $400 and this is what we got -- They were out of two of the appetizers and three of the entrees. We waited over an hour for our salads. My husband...order his steak medium rate - it came back practically well done. He sent it back and the five of us finished our meal and he was still waiting for his. Asked for it to be boxed up which took another 20 minutes. Asked to see the manager and the manager actually argued with us that the steak was medium rare and blamed my husband that he hadn't cut into it far enough. What?? My pasta with salmon was fishy. Never was offered dessert. Some woman who had come out with the manager snarled at us and walked away when we tried to talk to her. Couldn't believe the actual management was arguing in public with a customer. Will never go back here. Again, spent $400 on dinner. What a waste! Avoid at all costs!More

We went out to celebrate a birthday on a Saturday night. The restaurant was very warm and we were dressed up and sweating. It took one hour to get our appetizers and 1 hour and 45 minutes for our lousy meals. 3 tables of people...that came in after us ate, paid and left before we had our food. The pasta was like glue from being overcooked, the salmon was overcooked and had a white film on top most likely from being frozen, the shrimp were fishy from being old and the service was terrible. Drinks were missed, appetizers forgotten, and service was non existent.More

Started with their deliciously different Caesar salad, which is actually a heart of Romaine surprisingly grilled, I did say grilled, with a delightful dressing and croutons and cheese. I ordered a dish called Aragosta con Polpa di Granchio, which was a lobster tail, crab, toasted...garlic alfredo and penne. This is what I imagine food will taste like in heaven! It was absolutely divine. Chef Gerard and my server, Lisa, made this a meal to remember!More

I can't say enough about the service at DiSalvo's. The service was top notch. Servers are very attentive. The grilled Caesar salad is pleasingly delicious. The lasagna, however, was not anything to write home about. Definitely not worth the price. Whenever I feel (and husband...feel) I make a better lasagna at home, something is wrong. For an Italian fine dining restaurant, you should really have a killer lasagna. And why not have chicken parm or eggplant parm on the menu? I should've opted for the steak. It looked and smelled delicious. Maybe next time if I ever return.More

As most people are today, my wife and I are very busy and don't always take time for date nights. Last night we went to our favorite date night place, DiSalvo's and once again we were wowed by everything from pre dinner cocktails to our...meals and service. Thank you for making our night special and we will be back soon!More

There is no "dress code" at DiSalvo's, but most diners are dressed in "smart casual." No one shows up in jeans and sweat suits.
