We stop at Gary's every year when we visit family. The food is fresh and made with love. Don't miss the homemade pastries, and order your sandwich on the amazing homemade bread. Cash only.

I had a delicious dinner that included mashed potatoes with gravy and cut green beans. Everything was tasty, and oddly, the green beans in particular were quite good. I can't remember the last time I had good green beans. There were quite a few entrees to choose from and all of them under $10. Service was prompt and efficient; Tiffany... More

This restaurant is a few blocks off the GAP trail. You'll need to walk across the bridge into town and hang a right after a couple of blocks, but it's definitely worth it when you order that hamburger with home made bread and mashed potatoes covered in gravy. The portions are big and there's a pastry shop attached too.

I camped overnight in West Newton while biking the GAP Trail. The campground host recommended Gary's Chuckwagon for breakfast. I was impressed! Great service, homemade bread for the toast, and a great breakfast!

After 30+ miles of riding, we had lunch in this local cafe. Very good and reasonable home cooked meals. Friendly wait staff and easy to get to from the trail.

We had a party of 6, and was able to sit right down. It's a smaller place, but it's very quaint. Nice, nice people! We had the French toast made with homemade bread. Very good!! Prices are very reasonable. If we are ever in the area again, we'll be back.

This is the local hangout for food, attracting locals and also trail users. The décor is booths and tables, nothing fancy but clean. My local favorites are stuffed pork chops, pigs in the blanket and city chicken; which may be daily specials. Gary's background also includes being a baker and room next door is filled with pastries he makes every... More
