The sauce is what makes the hot dog so great! It's smooth and tasty. It is a small drive-up building with serving windows like an ice cream shop. There are picnic tables located outside of the building to sit & eat. Most locals take their food home in the white pastry box that they are packaged in. The sauce is... More

If toy are looking for casual dining (I mean, eat in you cat on a paper plate), this is for you. Order at the window, shot in your car and then they call you up. Great hot dogs grilled and toasted. But the best is the famous Jim's sauce. It is a must try.

Meet with girl friends long time since we were together,so we went for a blast from past! When we were much younger this was the place to go! Much to our delight it remains the same, they added table's to sit at. The famous sauce was just like I remember! The price was more than I remember! But good! Might be... More

These hotdogs are amazing. I've been eating them for over 60 years and they are the best in the area. The sauce makes them different than any other hotdog around the Pittsburgh area. He also makes a very tasty grilled chipped ham sandwich with the same sauce.

My wife and sister in law were out and about today and called me to see if I wanted a hot dog, yes I said. Twenty or so minutes later I was eating a Jim's hot dog, damn good. Visiting Pittsburgh and had to have one of these. Toasted bun, cheeze, onions and that Saucy sauce on the hot dog.... More

Fifty years ago my Dad started bringing us here every payday for "cheese dogs, sauce and onions." Thirty years ago it was my wife's craving while expecting our twin daughters. Today, it is still well worth the thirty minute drive to "get the hot dog monkey off our backs." Order at the window, sit in your car and eat. Nice... More

The hot dogs are very good but in my opinion it is way too expensive for hot dogs. The milk shakes are very good.

jim's started in the early 50's...I've been going there since the early 60's...the hot dogs used to be much longer...the sauce has been primo over the years...they sell bottles of the sauce but it is not the same as what is served...our favorites are the cheeseburgers & cheese dogs...both with sauce & onions...menu items have gotten a bit over priced... Okay, here's the deal. I have pretty much lived within walking distance to Jim's for my whole life. Nothing's changed, they don't write down your order, they will burn your meal from time to time, they are a little pricey, and they are not there to provide a 5 star dining experience but it's all good once you get a...
