We recently had a wedding rehearsal party in a private room over looking the valley. The view is just beautiful in the fall. Our waiter Cory, was so attentive and went above and beyond to make our night so enjoyable. A special thank you to...Tom, for working with us to make this night special. The quality of the food was excellent, everything was served hot and the portions were very large. A wonderful meal.More

Consistently good food with good service and a great view. Sunday night had a live acoustic guitar singer, not too loud and just a genuinely nice place to eat.

We ate here twice recently while staying at the attached Hampton Inn. Service was good and the food was also really good. One thing to know - portions are quite big. Unfortunately both evenings were weekdays so there was no live entertainment which I believe...they have on the weekends. One negative - there are no blinds on the windows which are large and face west, so as the sun sets it shines right into diner's eyes even when sitting away from the windows.More

We had a lovely meal at Top of the 80s. I have to admit, I was expecting a tired menu and mediocre food, based on the atmosphere of the restaurant - it's vey dated. BUT. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the...view is outstanding. It's also very clean and comfortable. So despite the 80s decor, it was a very pleasant experience.More

We have stopped at Top of the 80's many times over the years for lunch. (We understand they no longer serve lunch except on Sundays.) This time we stopped overnight at the adjoining Hampton Inn so had dinner. The view of the lights in the...valley is beautiful, and there was a cozy fire in the fireplace. Service is always very friendly and attentive, and this visit was no exception. I started with the pumpkin bisque, which was excellent, and had the chicken parm. My husband had prime rib, which he ordered with fries instead of the usual baked potato. Outstanding fries and the prime rib was flavorful and juicy (and cooked to the desired temperature--in his case, medium rare). Portions are quite large so I had about half of my chicken parm for lunch the next day. This isn't a trendy place but very comfortable. Our only complaint is the wine list is skewed toward less expensive, sweeter wines.More

We are never disappointed with this reliable restraunt. Enjoy beautiful views in a very clean distinguished setting. Best of both worlds here because the classy setting has options for casual meals or something formal. All the food and service was GREAT! Loved the big juicy...burgers! Very good Holiday menus, our family liked the Easter and Thanksgiving feasts. It's great to eliminate the cooking and cleaning up so we ALL can relax and enjoy the day. Easy to get a reservation or served as a walk-in. A+More

After being on the road all day I figured I could unwind at this restaurant next to my hotel, I was aware the restaurant closed at 9 so I figured I could grab a quick drink or two at the bar. Apparently that wasn’t okay...with the older gentleman that was working, as I entered instead of acknowledging me he just started cursing as if I had ruined his night, other customers heard it as well. It took him a good while to get my first drink and by the time I got it, it was already last call. Although it was very convenient to have a restaurant that close to where I was staying, I would rather drive somewhere else where I don’t get cursed at for coming to bar for a drink and also where the bartender doesn’t smell of marijuana.More

Wow! First of all we found this restaurant through TripAdvisor. We almost didn’t go in judging the appearance of the restaurant from the outside but based on the reviews we thought we would give it a try. It was 2:00 on a Sunday afternoon and...we were traveling home from celebrating our 20th anniversary. We were hungry for some lunch. Upon entering the restaurant, it was VERY spacious and also very dated! Definitely seemed like the restaurant had seen better times… maybe in the 80s or 90s. There were some areas of clutter or disrepair. There was no lunch menu but there was a bar menu. So we were left with the dinner menu. Prices were very expensive. I went with the stuffed sole. It cost $27 and that was one of the lesser priced items. I would expect to pay that price for fresh seafood but it was frozen as our waitress shared when asked. Nothing was special or gourmet enough to warrant the prices being asked. For being a fine dining establishment, there was not the professionalism of staff one would usually expect. The hostess never acknowledged us and our waitress was friendly and attentive but maybe too friendly…. Very talkative and quite a strong outspoken personality. I wouldn’t want to make her angry. The view however was amazing! This spot has so much potential and the menu options were lovely as well but lunch options would be more appropriate for that time of day and fresher food for the listed menu items would make it worth the price. We were just passing through but would probably not stop again.More

We’re snowbirds traveling back to Troy NY from Cocoa Beach Florida. This was our final overnight and we were beyond impressed at the fabulous restaurant connecting our hotel. The views amazing, the service, above and beyond (thank you Alex & best of luck). The food...by far the best we’ve experienced in awhile. I had the seafood salad which was fresh and delicious beyond any we’ve had in Florida. The chicken dish enjoyed by my mate was plentiful and more than his hearty appetite could handle. So much so that the cheesecake for dessert was declined. That NEVER happens! Don’t miss this hidden gem!!More
