This used to be one of the finest restaurants in the area and it is a shame now to see how far they have fallen. We made reservations to take a friend for a birthday dinner. Things did not start out well and never improved. For starters after four different tries they did not have any of the wine in... More

We went here for Valentine's Dinner and simply put, it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten in a restaurant. Service was excellent, food delicious. Started with a Thai seafood soup, Dilworthtown house salad/roasted beet and arugula salad, Florida Grouper with bok choy and shiitake / Duck a l'orange and finished with orange cake and coffee. Superb... More

Superb food set in historic surroundings. Excellent menu options - steaks, seafood, ... all tasting wonderful and served with delicious sides. It's great for those special occasions - for a couple or family. My favorite place for the family to celebrate an event (like my birthday).

I have lived near this restaurant most of my long life. I first went here with my folks in the mid-sixties. I've been there a number of times since. It used to be stately, charming, and with consistently superior cuisine. But sadly, as time has passed, it is now resting on its laurels. The place is still physically attractive. But... More

We took my mom here to celebrate her 91st birthday. Overall, our experience did not live up to our expectations based on past visits. I have been pleased with DI's wine list in the past, but was really disappointed when the first 3(!) bottles I tried to order were all unavailable. After exhausting the wine's I wanted to order, I... We (wife and another couple) went to the DWTOWN INN last night for the 1st time in a while (birthday celebration) The wonderful historic ambience and fireplace rooms are still inviting, and very atmospheric. The menu remains wide reaching including "LEADERS" (appetizers) such as mussels, calamari and escargots, and a nice selection of salads. The menu "PRINCIPLES" (a misspelling of... More

This restaurant has been our favorite place to go for many years. Food is always wonderful plus you have the choice of a 'bistro' next store for 'casual' dining. They also offer special 'wine paring' dinners across the street at the 'Inn Keepers Kitchen - with so many choices - you can't go wrong by eating at the Dilworthtown Inn.

Came here on Thanksgiving Day with my parents for dinner. The service was nice but the food was very disappointing. The three of us ordered soups before our meals which was good, but when our turkey dinners came that's when it seemed everything went south, The turkey was hardly moist and not even nice pieces of white meat just stringy... Our family recently held a baby shower at the Dilworthtown Inn for a small party of 17. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate us, allowing us to change rooms when it became apparent that some in our party couldn't climb steps. The room was cozy enough so that even though we were at different tables, we were "all together."... More

Just had Thanksgiving dinner there with our boys. Four of us total. The atmosphere is very nice, very Chester County. The food was just ok, not what I expected for the money we spent. The place is not what it was years ago.
