About
A good Irish pub is traditionally the cornerstone of the town. It is a place that can be a destination for multiple purposes, or no reason at all. The publican (owner) should be known to all on a handshake basis. Being involved in the community outside of the pub is a big part of this. From family lunches on the weekends to watch soccer on the big screen, to some questionable dance moves after the sun goes down, a good Irish pub has something for everyone. We have been under new ownership since July 2015 and new Executive Chef Stephanie Gray has created a great seasonal menu while keeping the traditional favorites.

After parking in a public deck down the block, we caught a sidewalk table adjacent to the door for al fresco dining, drinking and schmoozing. I forget what my wife ordered, but I had an excellent lamb burger and a draught Harp lager. Split a huge hunk of cheesecake to kill my diet! Kildare's was near the top of best West Chester dining spots when I searched dining in W.C. Recommended; great and friendly service by Sophia.

September 2020 Traditional Irish pub interior with an excellent draft and whiskey menu. The bangers and mash were absolutely delightful!  Everything had the most profound flavor and the sausage was perfect, and the gravy was out of this world. The cheesesteak was also delicious, and the roll was perfect. The habanero wings were rather ordinary, though, nothing special.  But overall, I can’t believe how well everything was seasoned, and I will definitely be coming back.  Decent prices and service, too.

My wife, son and I dined here for lunch last week and really enjoyed it. My wife ordered a salad, I had the chicken tenders in buffalo sauce and my son ordered the cheeseburger. All the meals were excellent and the beers were cold. Just like an Irish pub should have it...

The place has a very nice atmosphere and a good presentation of the place. I would not recommend or come back to this place unless it was for drinks. We ordered hummus and it didn’t have any flavor, the worst hummus, and when I got my burger there was hair on the plate. There was no point in complaining since it’s an average place, not worth complaining about it, is better not going back.

We stopped here for lunch on our way through town and had an excellent meal in what is certainly an authentic Irish Pub. Great food, great service, great atmosphere and the traditional Irish breakfast was excellent and definitely traditional. Sat at a perfect little table in front of a fireplace, couldn't have asked for a better lunch in a better place - thank you!

We came in from out of town for a lacrosse tournament and had our team dinner here. I cannot say enough about how easy it was to set it up with the manager Colton and our server, Gabe was outstanding. We were a very large group of 32. They gave us the back room so we were all together in one area. Gabe was amazing - he was our solo server, the girls loved him, he managed keeping all the bills separate and didn't skip a beat making sure everyone had everything they needed. His personality and ease with taking care of such a large group was very impressive. And to top it all off, the food was great! Everyone had a great dinner, the beers were great and so many great food options. We will definitely come back next year!

We have been many times to Kildare's. We especially love going there for the Dueling Pianos night. We just hosted a St. Paddy's Day themed 50th birthday party here and it was perfect! Great food, service, band...great back room too. Stephanie and Dane were great to work with - definitely recommend!

First time eating at Kildare's and was pleasantly surprised. I had the misconception that it was just a "college" bar, but it's not. The food was very good, and a nice selection of drinks. I'm sure late weekend nights it is the "college" bar, but earlier in the evening it is really a good place for dinner.

Kildare's looks great - old school Irish Pub, but everything about it beyond appearance was terrible. The "that's what we known for" BFG wings were DRY and had the nasty previously frozen signature black bones. The hummus was grainy and flavorless - worst hummus I've ever - ever had. The pork on the nachos was stringy and not tasty and the chips were quickly soggy. The beer was pretty good (clean pipes) and the service was ok - the bartender was at the end of her shift and really could have cared less about customer service, but our waiter had a tiny bit of hustle in him and got our orders right.

I don't remember the name of the salad but it was banging and it had a lot of good ingredients in it. I was very surprised by how fresh it was and ate it all

What a pleasant surprise. Went with the family for brunch and everyone enjoyed their orders - from burgers to authentic Irish breakfast. Server was outstanding, explaining the menu and coming back numerous times to check on us and ask if we wanted refills. Bar was clean and well lit. Excited to go back to sample the huge whiskey selection.

Overlooked spot for brunch on a sunday. First time I have been able to find a traditional irish breakfast that reminds me of being back in Ireland. Server Mallory was great.

After a long drive from Boston area this was the right place for burgers for dinner. Large portions, great service and a very interesting building. Very cozy. Make this a must on your bucket list to dine here.

Arrived right when they opened at 11:30am. Greeted right away by one of the servers. Sat at the bar- bartender was very friendly. Beer was cold and food was good. If we lived closer, would love to go back for dinner.

Our visiting Cayman Islands GAA team decided to watch the, 'All Ireland GAA Final' at Kildare's. We were not disappointed. The crowds were lively and engaging and the staff were up to the challenge of a full house. We were all able to find a spot together and enjoy a hearty lunch before our final. It was a great experience for all of us and a perfect way to start our finals day.
