I went to the original location back in the '70s. I was a little disconcerted when I saw that it had moved. I was not sure that it would be the same. NO WORRIES! The food and service are still amazing. I got the lasagna...the last time that I was there and did again today. It lost some of the old charm, but makes up for it in better parking and roomier dining area. The service was outstanding, the food was amazing. It will not be another 40 years until I go back.More

My husband and I recently dined here with family at lunchtime. We were happy to be able to dine in at a restaurant during this shut down and the restaurant is following all safety precautions. We were seated promptly and our waitress was quite good....Sometimes, it took what seemed like a long while for her to come to the table, but I think they were busy and she met all our requests and kept our drink glasses full. I have dined here twice in probably the last 8 years and the food was always fine, but it was never my favorite and a little out of the way, so never regularly returned as my favorite Italian is only 1 minute from home. 2 had the spaghetti and meatballs, one the ravioli, and I had soup, meatballs, and a side of alfredo. I LOVE that the pasta is cooked to order. It was perfectly al dente and there was no gross pool of water at the bottom of the plate. I have only enjoyed meatballs out like twice in my life, but these were very good, could be more flavorful, but perfectly tender. The red sauce was also very good and something I rarely eat out as it is never usually good. The alfredo was nice and cheesy and not too runny. My family enjoyed the side salads and everything looked fresh. Wedding soup also not my favorite, but still solid. Gelato for dessert was yummy. For the quality of the food, the prices are very reasonable. There are more expensive meat/chicken dishes that we didn't try, but if they are of the quality of the items we sampled, I am sure they are worth the price. For the price, quality of food, and service, I should try to make it out here more often!More

Angelo's is located halfway between where I grew up and where I live now and so I stop here when traveling between the two with my family. My family is picky but we all love Angelo's including my vegetarian son and my toddler and me...(I don't eat cheese.) We look forward to going here whenever we can. The food is excellent and the customer service is amazing. Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. They treat their patrons well. We hope to continue to eat here on our Xmas trip home annually for many years to come.More

Three family members decided to go to one of our favorite restaurants for some holiday cheer. Yes, holiday cheer during COVID. Michael Pasalaqua and his staff are doing it right. It is clean and well spaced. Staff was very pleasant and the meal was excellent....The soup, artichoke/bacon was so delicious. Branzino, pasta Patricia and a fillet, all excellent. It was such a nice experience during these dismal times. We all raved about our dinners.More

We have been here several times, even driving from Pittsburgh, and this visit was a disappointment. The zucchini, usually crisp and tender, was soggy and rubbery. My husband’s shrimp was over cooked and my chicken was burned on the bottom. The bread was the best...part of the meal. When we mentioned the issues to our server, her response was that the kitchen was having a bad night. No effort was made to make things rightMore

We had a party of four for lunch - anxious to try after reading the great reviews. To put it mildly, all four of us were extremely disappointed. Where do I begin, Fried calamari appetizer was gritty. Daughter said carrot soup was very good. Wife...& I had Italian wedding soup - tasted like lukewarm bath water - no flavor at all. Daughter had Michael Salad - nothing more than a mountain of greens with none of the add-Ins per the menu. A horse could not have eaten it. Son in law said Spaghetti and meatballs was OK, but the sauce wasn’t flavorful - reaction was “blah”. Wife said Chicken picatta was poor - chicken too thick & dry. I had the Chicken marsala and it was also poor - chicken too thick & dry and Marsala sauce had a weird taste. Portions were large, but that does not make up for the mediocre taste of the dishes themselves. I’m giving it a 3 only because of the good service. We won’t be back - too many other exceptional Italian restaurants in the Pittsburgh area to enjoy.More
