My family and i have a camp along the river in Tidioute. So we usually just grill up typical camp food. One day we decided we needed a change from burgers and hot dogs. Took a chance and decided to try the Tippy. We were not disappointed!!!! Their food was really good. I don't know why anyone says different! Also... More

Did not enjoy eating here. I felt rushed. The menu was boring, everything on it I could make at home, and probably better. The pierogis which people rave about, were actually gross. 3 giant American cheese filled pierogis slopped on a plate with a massive amount of onions, and packaged sour cream.

I highly recommend the Tippy sreak sandwich. Oh so good! Thats what my husband and I always order. You get fresh cut fries with it. I use to love the fish on Fridays, however, they changed the fish a few years ago. I've not had it since, so I can't say for sure how it is now.

Stopped in for a few drinks with my wife and friend. Apparently fun is not allowed here. We had full drinks pulled from the bar and shown the door without any explanation whatsoever. Not a very good way to treat customers just having a good time.

Stopped in here for lunch on a trip back from New York took the scenic route through the Allegheny mountains Great comfort food very reasonable prices in a rustic setting. A must try if you came this way. Close to the National Forest

To be clear: this place is 3 stars at large but 4 stars for the area. This spot is set back a fair ways from the main road and not exactly something you would stumble upon (unless you are in Tidioute for the annual war re-enactment or fishing derby). If you're just passing through and want a bite to eat,... More

The first thing to notice about the restaurant is that the bar is separate from the dining room. That means that you can smoke while you eat, as if anyone would. The dining room is woodsy, being that it is in the middle of a national forest. The menu was good, from pot pie to prime rib. The salad bar... More

They are the only salad bar in town. Roxanne is the cook/ kitchen commander and every plate is perfect. Very good service. "The only salad bar in town".

Tidioute is a small community on the Allegheny River. It's surrounded by hundreds of fishing and hunting camps. The Tippy Canoe has a variety of lunch and dinner items, including pizza. There's a full bar with a lot of activity on the week-ends. It's home to the locals, too.
