Clean place with fair prices and good food. Friendly service. Nice tourist stop without it being touristy.

We went with 6 adults. Had decent reviews so figured we’d try it. There were MAYBE 4 tables seated at the time we arrived. 6:40 Saturday night. The hostess said for parties of 6 they recommended reservations but it was absolutely no problem to seat...us. They refused to sit all of us together; but next to each other. It was the way the kitchen had to do the tickets; I asked if we could push the trachea next to each other; same server, 1 bill, shared apps, etc. I was told no. The hostess says “I can hear all of you fine; it shouldn’t be a problem “.. I asked for a manager who told me our tables(NEXT TO EACH other) could not be pushed together because it was too much for the kitchen; and how tickets worked.” “But he probably wouldn’t fight me over it; but we really couldn’t do that”… one table got waters; the other did not. Our silverware was spotted; looked rinsed, not clean, place smelled old. The 6 of us; again all adults of age, went elsewhere where they were happy to sit a family together. We left and we’re happy to have a family dinner and drinks with an amazing meal and service!! Tavern’s awfully large loss tonight. People weren’t clambering to get in here as the other places.More
We have eaten here twice on visiting Strasbourg in the Lancaster area due to its convenience to our location. The food and service are good. I recommend making a reservation as they are a popular choice. The menu is varied and the atmosphere pleasant. A...good choice.More
Fun decor, good service, great food. Not crazy fine dining, but definitely upscale tavern. Worth stopping by if you happen to be in Lancaster county.
We enjoyed a lovely meal and the staff were lovely. We would definitely come back. The restaurant was conveniently located next to our hotel and faces farmland. We sat inside but the tables outside had amazing views.
Traveling thru for 2 nights, went here due to high points on Trip Advisor. Server was nice and polite, but not friendly at all, I am so confused by this, due to it can make or break you whole visit, and their tip? The food...was good, but not outstanding at all. Sorry to say not real impressed, but again the service was awkward. We are usually very big tippers, so it sure helps to put a smile on your face and try to make the night out for customers a pleasant one. A little disappointed-sorry to say, would not recommend.More
We were unsure if it was a bad night in the kitchen or simply improperly prepared food on a regular basis! We were actually at the Fireside Tavern 2 years ago when we went to "Sight and Sound" to see a play. Two years ago,...one of the days during our vacation in Pennsylvania we found the Revere Tavern and had a fantastic dinner. We had to eat outside, in a tent, which was nicely set up...due to Covid and had a terrific meal and experience. The food was so good we wanted to go again...yet we forgot the name of the restaurant...and had to research it to find the name...and we did! This time our visit was a big disappointment...and there were 6 of us (the original four of us and two more)! I ordered the Pork Chop...and it was extremely tasty...yet it was well over cooked...and actually burnt in a few places. I did not return it since my wife's meal had to be returned and I did not want it to look like were complainers...yet I should of sent back my meal. My wife, and one other party ordered the Red Snapper, which was a special, it was terrible. My wife was the only one to return it...yet the other person in our party did not want to wait for a new meal and kept it (he easy very easy going yet said several times how bad his fish was). The waiter did say that he had a few people return the fish. My wife then re-order but got Salmon and said it was better yet not exceptional...she said it was dry and less than average. Not one party enjoyed the main meal...the vegetables were over cooked and the entire meal was a disappointment. On the positive, my wife's replacement meal came out quickly...however, as noted, it was O.K. but not great. The service was excellent! The Tomato Bisque soup was very good (I had the Chili and it was average) For desert we ordered the Peanut Butter Pie...it was exceptional...yet 3 other couples order the special of the day desert which was an extremely small serving. On a side note, the waiter should of included the desert at no charge only because of the issues that evening (including accidently pouring water into my wife's wine (only 1/4 glass left but no longer good/waiter offered to get her another glass but she did not want a full glass of wine/he should of offered a free dessert but did not). The service was outstanding (Night B was the name on the bill)More
The staff was friendly, our food came quickly and was piping hot. The apricot salmon was outstanding and the prime rib sandwich came out with a huge slab of meat. Would definitely go again.
Excellent food and nice portions. My favorite part was the cinnamon butter that came with the sweet potato fries. I had the pulled pork sandwich and hubbie had a salad and soup. Our waitress gave good service. Nice crowd. We had reservations, but arrived early...and they accommodated us. This was a convenient place to eat after the Sight and Sound show.More
We had not been here since before the pandemic and were happy to find it was still as good as previously! We made a reservation for a 6:30 dinner and were seated right away. The menu is quite large and featured specials as well. We...had a very reasonably priced glass of wine and both of us opted for the daily special of roasted pork. It was served with a nice salad, Service was excellent, parking lot adjacent. Highly recommend.More
We’ve been here many times and the food is always top quality and abundant. The wait staff is above and beyond any restaurant we’ve been to lately. Super friendly and on top of everything. Can’t say enough good things about them!!! Love this place!!!
@nd time here, this time after a 2 year hiatus, and a great Birthday Dinner it was! The moment you walk in the obvious aroma of a fine restaurant fills your nostrils with delight! A wonderful atmosphere and now decorated for The Christmas Season, combined...with great food, makes for a fine and special gastro experience! About 2 dozen on tap beers to choose from, and succulent deserts, with equally good appetizers and entree's in between! (A superb Jambalaya in Pennestucky....I mean Pennsylvania! Who'da thunk it? And Key Lime Pie like it's suppose to be, not to mention a creamy chocolate tort! Can't wait till we visit the area again next year and get to plan another top notch dinning experience here!More
A beautiful, warm atmosphere. Excellent food and great service! The menu was varied and accommodating for most dietary needs. Room enough for large groups or a small intimate dinner. Would recommend.
When another local recommended restaurant had a 45 minute wait and their credit card processor went down, we searched online for another restaurant. Fireside Tavern popped up. We went there and were seated right away. Our server, Danielle, couldn't have been more attentive and helpful....The apricot salmon was well worth the visit. We truly enjoyed our visit and when back in the area, would undoubtedly go back to the Fireside Tavern.More
