I enjoyed this restaurant. It wasn't knock-you-over type food, but it was good and the atmosphere was nice. I had the duck, which was great in my opinion. A nice wine list all things considered. And, the rest of the plates looked excellent.

Have not been here for a while, so was hoping for a nice lunch. Service was somewhat awkward as our waitress wasn't as efficient as other wait staff. The food was okay, but simply lacked execution. The crab bisque was the highlight of our meals. Overall, there's much better options for dining in State College.

This has always been a favorite of mine, and now that we're back in the area, I was lucky enough to dine here for a business meeting about 10 days ago. And lucky for me, the food and atmosphere is still as good as it always has been! Our waitress was kind and attentive and very quick to handle our... More

Love this place! The ambience is cool; the tiny bar in the back of the room is wonderful. My favorite dish is the Red pepper pasta with Crab 😍

Enjoyed the crawfish pasta, lamb lollipop, seasonal greens salad, and the desert would have been good if the waitress had not let the ice cream melt.

In the heart of a college town, this restaurant is a light away from the fast food. This restaurant is specialized on creole food with variety of seafood and meat. The appetizers were very tasty and the jambalaya was a pleasant surprise. The service was excellent RSTMN 8/10

Not particularly awed and came away smelling heavily of Cajun spices. Not a good idea for business lunch; probably great for a fun dinner.

My daughter and I decided on a whim to try Spats. I have to say, the food was great. We started our meal with the gumbo and the crab and corn chowder. Both were excellent. You have to really like andouille to like the gumbo. The crab and corn chowder was amazing and had a lot of lump crabmeat in... More

Over priced and average meal. All smoke and mirrors. Unless we just ordered the wrong entrees. But other reviews seem to concur.
