Before you go you should always check out the creamery website to see what 1/2 gallons are available for sale (you can also have them shipping to you anywhere in the US). There are so many different flavors available, but only 20 are in the freezer at every given time. There is free 1 hour parking in the parking deck... More

With the temp over 90, the creamery was hopping today. A long line that moved quickly brought us to the register to choose from many flavored in bowl, cone, or milkshake format. I chose the WPSU Coffee Break milkshake while my family primarily choose the bittersweet mint. Ice cream was very smooth and fresh. I also appreciated the size of... More

My son had hockey camp at PSU, so we had to stop and try. We waiting on line for about 20 mins, we wanted the peachy Paterno but it was sold out, wife had strawberry and I had chocolate mint they were both awesome. We went back next day next day no peachy Paterno, had the black raspberry can not... More

It's always such a treat when we're in State College to go to the Creamery. All of the ice cream is really good & they give you a large scoop for $3.50. Service is always really friendly & and fast. And where else can you get coconut chip - the best ice cream flavor ever!

I enjoyed Lime Sherbet - a huge portion and perfect for a day when at 9:30 am the temperature was already in the mid-80s ...

I grew up spending my summers in Huntington and eating Teaberry ice cream. My husband and I were visiting family and took a day to go to Penn St. We had lunch at the creamery. Sandwiches are pre made and would be better fresh, but we went for ice cream. They were serving Teaberry 😀 it was just as I... More

If you visit Penn State, one of your stops must be the Berkey Creamery. Grab a cone or a dish to enjoy while you're there and a couple of half gallons to take home. The friendly students that run the place will pack it in dry ice for the 2,3, or 4 hour drive home. Death by chocolate, Alumni swirl,... More

The ice cream is amazing but favors were limited this visit. Make sure you park in the garage or you will get a ticket(I learned the hard way)

We stopped here for ice cream with our Aunt & Uncle while traveling through State College and all I can say is WOW. My wife went to college here and has always talked about their ice cream but I never imagined just how good it was! I also could not believe how large the proportions were. We all asked for... More

Great price for the value (huge scoops) and made right there! Just know that depending on PSU's activities can be VERY crowded with long lines. They also sell other locally produced dairy products and other products grown/produced by the PSU Agriculture Department and its students. Also go in knowing they will not mix flavors so keep that in mind when... More
