15 min to get menus, another 15 min to order drinks, 15 min until they arrived. Food order finally taken, over an hour for our appetizer mozzarella sticks to come out. Another hour for a burger and pasta to come out. Burger was the wrong...one but I ate it anyways. Clearly a frozen patty and the place was not that busy. Manager was apologetic but looked like my complaint wasn't the first one he'd received that night. Food was not good but if had arrived in a reasonable time frame it would have been fine. Would definitely not go back.More

The food was no bad but service for drinks and refills awful. I was told after finishing dinner it would take an hour to bring me dessert because the kitchen was swamped.

I ate here while staying at the connecting hotel. I sat in the bar area which was well lit, had interesting decor and many TVs for viewing the football game. The service was fast and friendly. The bartender offered me a sample of a stout...when they did not have the brand I asked for on tap. The pizza I ordered came out very hot. The cheese and sauce were delicious. I was not a huge fan of the crust. It was very soft in the middle. It would be great if that could be addressed. I will get a burger or sandwich if I go again.More

Stayed at the Ramada for 3 days with my granddaughter for a horse show. This was the on site eatery. The food was good but the service was very slow but friendly. All 3 times I went down there no one was at the hostess...desk. After being seated, waitress was busy either putting food out on the buffet or very slow to come to the table. I think the place is way understaffed. Their Reuben is great and so is the chicken Alfredo. Breakfast buffet is good and free except on the weekends. It is clean . And the autographs that are on the walls rock! Just make sure you allow extra time to eat there.More

We stopped in after arriving in State College late. The waitress took our drink order. About 15 minutes later she turned it over to the bartender to get the drinks. We had to chase down a waitress to get our bill. Service was awful, and...the place wasn't busy.More

Visited here the night before I had surgery in State College and was extremely pleased with the experience. Had the rib eye steak with a salad and a baked potato and everything was great with the food. The steak was cooked perfectly rare for my...taste. The baked potato was well cooked and the salad was very good. The server was very polite , knowledgeable and attentive. Very clean interior. Conveenient parking. Would certainly return for another meal.More

In town for the PSU Blue-White game...stayed at the Ramada where this restaurant is located. I will share the Good, Bad and the Ugly with you. The entertainment duo (two guys singing, one plays the guitar...other plays a percussion instrument that I have never really...seen before)....these guys are AWESOME. It is the 2nd time I have seen them on a Saturday night and they are really fun. Lots of popular songs...done their own way. VERY cool!! The food is just OK. We ordered some Wings and asked for "extra crispy". They was very rubbery when they arrived. So one of the women in our party sent them back. They came back burnt to a crisp. I figured that was the waiter's way giving us the finger. Decent selection of craft beer and the entertainment was great. I don't really think anyone goes their for the "good food". Since I was staying there....I had breakfast at their breakfast buffet in the morning on the day I was leaving....NOTHING to rave about there either. Not as horrible as the wings....just OK. One my first day there...I wanted a cup of coffee to go. They charged me $2.25 for a cup of coffee. I felt that was excessive for a hotel guest.....but I needed my caffeine so I gladly paid the Vig. If I were not staying there, I would probably never go to this restaurant.....but they kind of have a captive customer base with the hotel guests.More

P. J. Harrigan’s Bar & Grill is located within the Ramada Inn and it is the only place that we dine at during our three night stays at the Ramada Inn/State College. Their Happy Hour is great and their daily food specials, such as Burger...Night and Pizza Night are exceptional, along with their other menu selections. The Bar Tender Cooper and Waitress Patricia have always provided us with outstanding service. Great selection of micro-brew beers and my Wife is always pleased with her Espresso Martini. If you are staying at the Ramada Inn, ask for a ten percent restaurant discount coupon at the motel’s front desk. We will be dining at P. J. Harrigan’s Bar & Grill next year. This “Old Geezer” and his Wife RECOMMENDED!More
