Average ...as other reviews say ..no smoke ring...not much flavor...I was putting BBQ sauce and horse radish on the brisket sandwich so it was OK......not the moistest beef.......fries were good.....they don't come pre-cooked like the meats ....not the cheapest....not the worst ...ribs are my fav...but cost too much for the rack here ...glad I passed....hungry after 5 hours with 4 to go.....I have eaten BBQ in many, many states from PA down through NC and TN and then some .....many times...some places down there I almost scream they are that good.....here ...brisket wasn't all that ...service...they were OK...but it's a job for kids...they care like kids do.More
we went to Skeeters for dinner on a weeknight. we found the place very clean and the staff very helpful. It does take cards and is he type of place where you order at the counter. They had a large selecting on the menu so...it is not just BBQ. my wife got a Shrimp dish i got the BBQ combo. Both were very good the BBQ style is Texas slow smoked Dry rub and then they provide BBQ sauce on the side. We sat outside the view was amazing you can bring you dog if you sit outside. super place to visitMore
When you are off the beaten path...you try harder to compete....however....
The corn bread was a commercial muffin from a grocer or wholesale club, the apple sauce served in its factory plastic tub with foil cover. The cold pulled pork and chicken was served on...burnt texas toast...likely to make the serving appear to be piled high. It was not. Thanks for the handful of lettuce from a bag for the $5 salad and the scenic view of the river....but no thanks. Next ti.e, stay down below.More
The bbq is good but not great. The Cole slaw and baked beans are very good. The chili was odd and was more like ratatouille I wouldn't recommend it. The corn bread is good. They only have one type of bbq sauce which seems odd...as most bbq joints carry multiple varieties. Skeeters sauce is a north Carolina style and not sweet enough for me. You go here for the view as it sits high above the river.More
I absolutely love the brisket wrap its fantastic so tender and delicious my husband also loves the ribs very good it's nice you can have a beer with dinner as well but the best thing they have is the corn bread muffins!!! So moist tastes...like a desert!More
This is not a smoked meat place. Their bbq is made such by way of bbq sauce. You will not find a smoke ring on their meat. That’s not to say it isn’t tasty but don’t expect a smoked taste.
The line can get long...but they move through it fast and get the food up fast. You also won’t have trouble finding a table and they bring the food to you. If you choose outside in the evening you’ll get a great view but some sound pollution from motorcycle and trucks. Also a lot of gnats in the evening.
Bathrooms are clean.More
