We were home to Saint Marys for a funeral last weekend. Since we had been to the Marienstadt Public House on other occasions and enjoyed the food, we brought other out-of-state family members with us. What a disappointment!! Some of the items we ordered arrived...burnt. When we commented, we were told “that was the way it comes”. The other items we ordered had way too much vinegar. To us, it seemed that the Marienstadt Public House had turned into the typical Saint Mary’s bar instead of a nice/ small German restaurant. Not sure we will be back next time we are in the area!More

We stopped here twice on our visit to the area. It's a small friendly bar which seems to attract the locals, which is what appealed to us. We had the beef stew the first evening, which was delicious. Came back the following day for their...fish sandwich which was also very good. I had to try their German potato salad which I read about on here, and it did not disappoint...was sooo good!! I'm still thinking about it. Chatted with a very nice bartender and local a bit before we left. We would definitely go back.More

I met my friend in St. Marys and after a visit to the local gun shop went to the Marienstadt for dinner and chit-chat. My first time at this place and was pleasantly surprised. It's small...you won't get lost inside. They have an interesting menu...of sandwiches and small things good. I had to have an IPA and they had a good one on tap. Next time in town I'll probably stop for lunch or whatever.More

We stopped in St Mary’s PA for the night and walked to the pub house from our hotel. It was a cold evening but as soon as we walked in, it felt so warm and welcoming. We ordered the Mac n cheese spatzel, bratwurst sandwiches...and drank some terrific Straub beers. Food was delicious and very filling, and great quality, definitely homemade. The owner and staff couldn’t have been nicer, we loved talking with them. A must stop for dinner or just a great beer!!More

We were in St. Mary’s for one night and decided to try Marienstadt based on it’s reviews, so glad we did! The owner and staff were all so attentive and friendly. The beers and menu items were all explained to us in detail and it...was hard to choose. We lingered over a variety of beers on tap and ate until we could eat no more! The fresh pretzels were sooo delicious and the warm potato salad was to die for! Between the four of us we also had the brisket, the kielbasa, the Rueben and one of their daily homemade soups (a vegetable) and all were wonderful. And even though we were bursting at the seams from their hearty portions we somehow made room for the bread pudding, which was exceedingly yummy! I wish this beer garden restaurant was in my town, I would be there all the time!More

Fun, friendly, and small-town like bar and "cafe". They have many sandwich options with great sides. The German potato salad and Mac n Cheese are so darn flavorful!!!

We spent 5 days in St Mary’s Pa and stumbled into this pub. Had about 10 beers on tap. A Sweet Water barrel aged imperial stout 12.4% ABV was a great surprise. Pretzels baked daily German food primarily. Proprietor Bob will be wearing his Pirates...hat.More

Stopped with my parents for a nice lunch while home in a visit. I’ve heard so much about the German potato salad so I just had to try it. The menu is small and the drink selection is also but what they do offer is...really good. The Reuben was very good and the local beer was aw well. The potato salad is unlike any I’ve ever had and so good I would go back just for that. Well done everyone.More

I arrived at Marienstadt around noon and sat at the bar. Tables were empty except for the side room. Tried the special, beef on weck with horseradish. It was a huge serving with mild horseradish. Bobby himself served me until a waitress appeared. Both friendly...and welcoming. I had my usual stout and had a pleasant drive home enjoying the fall leaves.More
