Ordered take-out pizza from here a number of times(it was very good) but never visited their dining room. Eaten indoors there twice now and enjoyed the food both times. Food was fresh, cooked well and served promptly. They have a varied menu and have a...number of interesting dishes. We'll keep coming back I'm sure. ps: they could do with a bit better winde selection though.More

First, and last, time at this restaurant. We walked to this place because it was less than a mile from our hotel, and I didn't want to get in the car again. I ordered a small meatball sandwich. Unfortunately, it was quite large, which was...a shame, because the meatballs were poorly made, poorly cooked and poorly sauced. The roll wasn't very good either. The friendliness of the staff, their diligence in making sure we had everything we wanted or needed, was very nice, but not enough to ever entice me back.More

I know it is difficult to get employees at this time and I've heard that Paolo's has good food and this be a bit unfair BUT it needs to be said as to paying attention to staff. I was enroute from Shillington to Washington and...being hungry I ran into Paolo's to grab a sandwich to take with. Lots of help behind Take out counter and I ordered ham and cheese hoagie, lettuce, tomato, raw onion, sweet and hot, and oil. Standing there I watched the young woman making sandwiches and she could not even cut the rolls! Half the roll was hanging off the shelf. She had a serrated knife and had no clue how to use .. said something to the young man working the pizza oven that it wasn't sharp enough. So he sharpened and she went back to work. Got the sandwich .. got about 20 min from restaurant and opened sandwich (husband driving) and had no clue what it was other than a very sad looking sandwich. Ham, no cheese, no tomato, no onion, and mayo! I was beyond ticked as I was starving and knew we had no time to go back. Its different if dining in as you can address problems .. but take out is a whole different story and needs more attention as most often people don't want to have to come back!More

Average food. Wings were barely or very sparsely (minimally) covered with coatings /sauce and way over fried. Ravioli was mediocre. Appear to be a busy place judging from the number of cars in the lot. Doing a brisk take out business.

My favorite local pizza place is closed on Monday so I thought I'd give Paolo's another try, its been 3 years since I ordered here, stopped going because something was never right. I even ordered online, but once again, my order was missing a sandwich....The food I did get wasn't bad, but will never return for lack of attention to detail and willingness to make a mistake right. No offer to return my money either.More

I haven’t been at Paolo’s since they have remodeled . Well , it wasn’t worth the money I spent . The spaghetti and meatballs that was ordered came out cold , We told our server and they did take it back and heated it up....I don’t mind paying for good food , but when your food is cold ,I won’t be coming back . $16 for spaghetti and meatballs is a little salty. The Sicilian Pizza was good . There are a lot of Italian /Pizza shops in Berks County and this place is at the bottom of the list .More

I went last night for a pre birthday night. It was a horrible experience. First we got a salad and asked for onions we got no onions. The salad looked like it was dumped out of a bag the pieces were HUGE and then maybe...3 cherry tomatoes on it. I was appalled. Then we got bread sticks with our dinner HA are you kidding me? it was litterally two bread sticks not cut or heated or anything we asked if they were garlic, NOPE and your an itatlian restaurant, give me a break. Your place needs work. Then I got my meal with extra shrimp, my "extra" shrimp was maybe 4 shrimp if I was lucky. This was the worst itatlian restaurant I ever ate at in my entire life. I am sorry I had to pay for this meal. I would have had a nicer put together meal at McDonalds.More

The food is below average, nothing is homemade but the pizza! The pizza is solid. There is nothing Italian about his place. They portray an Italian restaurant but from top to bottom they may have one Italian person working here. Servers and bartenders are nice,...but the food doesn’t rank. I would put them at the bottom of the Italian restaurants in Berks County. 3-4 times I ate here I found hair or other things in the food. The owner seems like a pompous jerk to be nice. Walks around like he is something special and is a pure jerk to customers. I heard him say to a customer I don’t care if you come back! Owner is very rude! I will never go back even if everything would be free.More

Sweetheart and I have passed this restaurant more than a few times before. The parking lot is usually filled with cars. It always seemed crowded. We wanted a new Italian eatery, so in we went. We were greeted and seated almost immediately upon entry. Our...server, though new, was excellent at her job and answered our questions without hesitation. Our orders were presented in a very reasonable time frame and looked really good. Sweetheart had Shrimp and angel hair pasta and I had veal parm. Let me say this, the food was sooo good that we now have a NEW favorite Italian restaurant. Thanks for some great service Judy!More
