There's not a negative thing to say about this place! The food was delicious. The staff was very kind and attentive. The prices are wayyyyy reasonable. Definitely not a tourist trap. The ham/bean chili soup was so my hubby said he wanted to know which of the ladies made it lol he'd divorce me to marry her! lol men! I... More

Each year we enjoy stopping by this restaurant after a day in Amish Country. The staff and patrons are always very pleasant. The food is good quality, although the rack of ribs can be small. Order the "large" beverage to get free refills. They only have one size cup, but the "large" price gets you free refills, whereas the "small"... More

Family went here while on vacation in Lancaster. Food was really good. It was off the beaten path and we'll worth the drive for dinner!

I'm not sure what brings people to this restaurant, because I didn't have one thing that I would personally recommend! All of the meals are pre cooked and are kept in warming trays. Then put into plates and set on the counter for your waitress to serve the food. The food is only warm when served. We tried the ham... More

Wow. We stopped in for lunch based on the ratings found here. Drove a half hour out of our way to do so. Both me and Maria ordered the cheese steak sub. I'm not sure how someone can screw up so simple a sub but they managed it. The meat was very wet and tasteless. Mine was ordered with hot... More

Generous portions of home cooked food. My Chicken Pot Pie was excellent. This kind of Pot Pie is made from homemade noodles, not pie crust. Friendly and attentive service. I was too full but the desserts looked fabulous.

We were here twice recently, both times on Friday evenings. It was busy but service was really fast, food is home cooked and good. Nothing fancy, just good food. It is run by friendly young Amish women who are constantly busy yet the diner is relaxed. Several Amish families were here both times we visited. I had the meatloaf both... More

My husband and I prefer out of the way places to eat; not into the touristy, overpriced smorgasbords found along the main routes. While searching the tablet for a place to have dinner, I came across this place. What a gem! The cook area is set up like a cafeteria and it's run my Amish women. Usually there is a... More

Although the address is Quarryville, Hometown Kitchen is actually located in the Village of Georgetown. To get to it travel east for about 7 miles on route 896 from Strasburg to Georgetown and turn right on Furnace Road. The restaurant is about a block on the right. Each day the restaurant has a special for around $10 to $12. Friday... More

This off the beaten path restaurant is owned and operated by real Amish ladies and patronized by their Amish friends and families so you know it's got to be good and authentic home cooking. The meatloaf, roast beef and chicken platters are ample and prepared and served expertly by these friendly ladies. Everything is fresh and made from locally griown... More
