This was part of our AAA trip to Lancaster. We ate in the private dining area. Every part of the dinner was amazing. Their marinated beef was so tender you couldn't pick it up with your fork. The wait staff was very friendly and always made sure to bring around seconds on anything that was offered. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Wanted a non chain, not all you can eat Amish experience so we found this off the beaten path. Had the chicken pot pie….not what I was expecting as it’s really not in a pie tin. It’s served on a plate with homemade noodles….kinda like chicken and dumplings. Don’t get me wrong, it was very good. The salad was good too. Big portions. They do have a daily special. No room for any dessert. Glad we found this place. Go enjoy and support the locals.

This eatery is a popular favorite with the local residents of Georgetown. Slightly off the beaten tourist path, this clean establishment offers breakfast menu from 6:30 AM till 11:00 AM, lunch starting at 11:00 AM and dinner menu from 4:00 PM till closing at 7:30 PM. The menu is 'home-cooking' with simple and standard entrees. Since we were too early for dinner, we selected from the luncheon menu. Our first order was a grilled Rachel sandwich on rye bread. The Cole slaw portion over the turkey slices was excellent. We ordered their freshly cut French Fries in place of their delicious homemade potato chips. Our second order was the grilled Reuben sandwich. The sauerkraut over the corned beef was quite tasty. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The prices are very reasonable and we are anxious to return to sample the dinner menu. Daily specials are provided.

We had the chicken cheese steak, fries, and ham and bean soup. The fries were not good. They were greasy and slightly uncooked raw potatoes. The oil may have been too cold or needed to be changed. The soup was nothing like traditional ham and bean soup. There was a strong ketchup taste. I’ve never had a ham and bean soup made with ketchup nor have I ever had a tomato-base ham and bean soup. The service is warm, friendly, and attentive. The restaurant is very clean.

I have been here several times. The place is very clean, staff is always nice. I get the chicken pot pie each time I go. It is very good. I would recommend. I also get their salad with strawberries, pecans, and feta cheese with the poppy seed dressing. I add grilled chicken. Portions are big. You won't go away hungry. Try their peanut butter bar. It is a moist cake with chocolate peanut butter icing. This is made in house. I would recommend. When you can, try their apple dumplings with ice cream. This is seasonal, but well worth it.

I first discovered this place last year. My ex and I were trying to find a non commercial Authentic Amish restaurant and we came across this place. Fast forward and I brought my mother here cause I loved it that much. Amish women are running the kitchen, and serving tables (we had an English woman serve us this time). Food was delicious, this place is out of the way to get too but soo worth the try. Amish families come and eat there too. Very quiet as well.

Delicious food! So glad we found this place. We tried a couple of other local “Amish” restaurant but this is by far the best! The chicken cordon bleu, broccoli califlower salad, ham balls, and meatloaf were delicious. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and diner. It was soooo good, we came twice during our 5 day visit in the Lancaster area.

Hometown Kitchen offers local good food. It was so nice to be greeted by a server with a smile. The menu was limited but we choose the dinner of the day, chicken cordon bleu. Shortly after receiving my side salad, we were served the entrees. The chicken was hot and moist, and potatoes were good. The creamy honey mustard dressing was delicious. My husband had coleslaw as his side. He said it was homemade, fresh, and delicious.

Went there for breakfast, The food was good and prepared well. The service was also great. Our server was friendly and efficient. Next time I am in the area I definitely would love to try their dinners, from what I have heard and read they are good as well. You can tell this is a good place since it seems a lot of locals visit.

Maybe we visited on an off day but we were not impressed. This isn’t exactly the type of Amish experience we anticipated. One server meant we spent most of our visit just waiting. Slow service. Food was just your typical diner food. Portion sizes were small. The best part was the cost. I guess we got what we paid for which wasn’t a whole lot.

This local Amish restaurant is the place to go if your are looking for nice quiet place to have good simple meal. My wife and I stopped by for dinner and we had a good time. The ladies were pleasant, and the food was plain, simple and our portions were big. The prices are good. The location is sort of "out of the way" if you are in Lancaster and you might need a Google map or gps if your not direction savvy. It is not very far and a drive in the country with lots of farms is nice. Please try it out.

We were looking for a little restaurant in the area to try. This was Amish ran with quick service and a beautiful scenic ride to get there. Good food. The reuben was delicious. The cheesesteak was good but it has a bbq sauce on it. Would recommend for a quick and cheap meal.

This was our second time here this week. Yesterday we had breakfast here it was excellent. Tonight we had dinner and it was excellent. Hot, large servings and seasoned well. I had the meatloaf and my wife had the crab bisque and shrimp. Millers has nothing on these folks!!! I think we found our go to place when we are in the area. Thank you for a great experience.

I stopped in for breakfast one weekday. The inside of the place is really cool. Looked like it was just remodeled and whoever did it did a really nice job. The place looks part bakery and part diner inside. Looked like all the tables were slab tables. Nice touch. The server was very nice. The food was excellent. I love a good breakfast and this was good. The scrapple was the best that I have ever had. Hands down. Homemade cinnamon raisin bread was great. I want to go back and wish I lived across the street because I would be there every day.

The food was amazing. We had the chicken pot pie and an apple pecan salad. The homemade strawberry jam and rolls were go good. We had to take our dessert (shoo fly pie and whoopie pie) to go. They were both very good. The restaurant was very clean, the service was quick. We enjoyed the Scripture the server put on the check. We would definitely go here again.
