They do not have sit down service, which I didn’t know going in. We ordered anyway and glad we did. The pizza was good price was good. and plenty of toppings. A little hard to find but we really like the pizza.
We were hungry for pizza and looking for a new place. Lupi’s Pizza popped up in our internet search and we decided to give it a try since it was so close to home. What a pleasant surprise! We ordered a plain pizza and it...was delicious. The crust was thin and the edge crusty. The sauce was not salty like many pizzas are but tasted really fresh. There was a generous amount of cheese on the pizza and it complemented the sauce perfectly.
There are so many pizza places in the North Hills of Pittsburgh and over the years we have tried many of them. Usually disappointed, we say, ‘it was ok but the crust wasn’t interesting’ or ‘it was too salty’ or ‘there wasn’t enough sauce and cheese on it’. But not here. We also ordered a large garden salad and were really surprised by the size of it. When I got home and poured the contents of the container into a bowl, I was shocked how much lettuce was in there. There was more than enough salad and dressing for 2 big portions.
Now let me tell you about the good folks who work at Lupi’s. They are so nice. There is always a smile and they really care if you are happy. Now isn’t that refreshing? We have been back since that first time and are planning to go back regularly. They have a full menu besides pizza including hoagies, calzones, salads, and even complete dinners. Just a note: this is strictly a take-out place as there are no tables but don’t let that stop you. Pick something up on the way home from work. You’ll love it!More
