I travel to Pittsburgh frequently for business and usually have a night or two where I don't have dinner with colleagues or clients. On those nights by far my favorite location is the bar at August Henry's. Service is excellent. Bartenders are consistently some of the better I experience. When I order a mixed drink bartender pours alcohol and mixes... More

I ran across this place looking for a lunch spot and saw it wasnt overly full. That made me nervous. Wow was I pleasantly surprised that I almost didnt want to do a review as I am afraid it wont be a secret anymore. Nonetheless I think its more important to be honest so here I go. I have now... We went for dinner before a show. We were seated immediately and had a great waitress. The Moscow Mule and Dirty Ketel cocktails were delicious. We ordered the zucchini appetizer and it was huge! The horseradish sauce was very tasty, too. We were in the mood for burgers and they were $2 off on the day we went. The Blackened... More

We had a conference at the convention center and needed a quick lunch and we ended up at August Henry's. We didn't have much time and we let our server know that; he expedited our order. Lots of sandwiches and burger options. The buffalo chicken salad I had was tasty. I had a co-worker that went in one evening for... More

We were leaving the Home & garden Show at the DLC (3.19.17) and found August Henrys on the way back to the parking garage. Great find! The food was fabulous , service was great and pricing was very reasonable-bonus! We would definitely recommend it to our family/friends and I hope to go back soon!

Picked this bar because it was close to The Benedum Center in Pittsburgh. Made reservations, glad we did because bar was packed. Great food, helpful staff, friendly staff. Clean bar, clean restrooms, comfortable seating. Prices in line for cultural district bistros. Great beverage selection, extensive menu selections. Highly recommend this bar.

Stopped at August Henry after attending the Home and Garden show at the convention center. Was seated in the front and was able to watch evening traffic and people go by. Prime rib french dip was good. The blackened catfish po'boy was a bit salty, spicey for my friends taste. Even enjoyed the croutons on the salad, so buttery, which... More

This place isn't shiny and new with upscale deviled eggs and charcuterie that I'm oh so tired of. This is a basic dark wood 70s style bar/restaurant. Burgers are great, beers are cold, martinis are $6 for Friday happy hour, prices are 70s style as well. Service was friendly and great, those ubiquitous warm and welcoming regular Burgh folk. It's... We got burgers. They were stupid (in a good way). They were huge and delicious. Service was great. Big fan. Will eat again.
