Cappy's is a little bar and restaurant with reliable service and good, traditional American food. The portions are filling. The atmosphere is relaxed. You'll feel right at home here. The beer and drink selection is good as are the economical prices.

Cappy's has more of a bar atmosphere indoors and a cafe atmosphere if you dine outside. Their menu offers pizza, burgers, wraps and hoagies (aka heroes or subs depending on where you're from). The food is good, the servers attentive and the prices reasonable. We had both lunch and brunch here. I'm pretty sure brunch is available on Sat also,... More

Stopped for lunch on our first day in the area while on a recent vacation. We had some nice sized salads and service was good. We stayed inside which is really small, but there is also seating outside. Prices are just right!

Great little bar in Shadyside. Cute outdoor seating area. Accommodates groups easily. Will go back again.

Owner is great. Steve is an amazing bartender. Emily is a wonderful server. Food is baked and not fried and very good. Daily food and drink specials are the best.

After having walked from Downtown Pittsburgh to Shadyside I needed some rest and new energy and stopped by for lunch. I had a Greek salad, and what the cafe served exceeded my expectations. I recommend this tiny place to anyone in need of recovery from exhausing shopping in the shops and malls nearby.

We stopped here for an early lunch. We sat outside, which was nice. We had the veg head wrap and a mushroom and Swiss turkey burger on a pretzel roll. Both were really tasty. It said on the menu that you could get fries with the burgers or sandwiches for $1.50. So we ordered sweet potato fries, which were really... More

This is the SAME place it has always been, and that is a mix of positive and negative. I don't write negative reviews unless really warranted. The food was average. Nice server, she tried. Order was not correct, food was better a decade ago. We were in a hurry and starving. I would go back for drinks but that is... More

Best little friendly bar in Shadyside. Sometimes groups of college kids swarm in here and turn the atmosphere into a crowded, shoulder to shoulder, loud, drunken feeding frenzy. I go home before that happens! Come early and enjoy the neighborhood feel of the place.

We had burgers, wings, caesar salad, wraps, chicken tenders. A C- at the very best. Kitchen staff kept going out to smoke. Thought I was going to be sick afterwards. Chef Ramsey from Kitchen Nightmares would padlock the doors.
