good place to drink if one has money, weekends at night it is simply a butt-h*le to elbow bar, pick up joint, and bourgeoisie clique place. watch and be careful in this "hood" it can be for anyone, a nice walk to the car home...More

I often visited Cappy's when I used to live in Shadyside. Good drinks and pizza in a nice, small bar.

Was late and all we wanted was a couple drinks. Cappy's had empty tables so it was a good spot for us to chat while we had a few.

We stopped here for a couple drinks. They had some decent specials at the time. It was nothing spectacular or worth going out of the way. But, if you pass it on the street, stop-in and enjoy a drink or two.

Stopped in on a Sunday morning when the line at Pamela's was longer than we had time for. We were greeted warmly, sat immediately, and served some really delicious food (I had The Pitt Stop) and yummy coffee. It is a little odd having breakfast...More

I ate at Cappy's twice. Their Rueben is the best I have ever had. Service is quick and attentive and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food.

This is a bar with many faces. Young, old, loud, quiet. Great bartenders. Interesting people. Friendly to strangers. Typical drinks and beer. Bar food done pretty well. Great seating outside if the weather is good; no better place in Shadyside to drink and people-watch.

Cappy's is a little bar and restaurant with reliable service and good, traditional American food. The portions are filling. The atmosphere is relaxed. You'll feel right at home here. The beer and drink selection is good as are the economical prices.

Cappy's has more of a bar atmosphere indoors and a cafe atmosphere if you dine outside. Their menu offers pizza, burgers, wraps and hoagies (aka heroes or subs depending on where you're from). The food is good, the servers attentive and the prices reasonable. We...More
