Always excellent food, coffee and service. Wife and I always share pancakes and omelets which are awesome. Service is always timely and kind. Highly recommend

This is my favorite restaurant for brunch. I always have the crab eggs bene, always delicious, on portobello caps instead of english muffin. My husband had the chorizo omelet special. Yummy. Lots of fun lattes, I had the cookie butter and chocolate which is like...a hot chocolate with espresso. Must try!More

We had not been to Pittsburgh and Square Cafe for about 8 years but recently stopped by for a mid-morning, weekday brunch. It remains as good as always. And, as popular as always as our wait was around 15 minutes. The menu offers standard breakfast/brunch...fare as well as some different items such as shaved brussels sprouts over grits and bacon which I highly recommend. Omelets are winners as are the pancakes. "Hardy" best describes it. Portions are generous. Prices are a bit more than average but well worth it. There is a 3% additional charge for credit cards -- something more businesses should do. The dining area is small and feels a little cramped. Staff are friendly and efficient. There's usually nearby on-street parking available.More

So glad we decided to try this place. Very funky scene and excellent breakfasts. Would recommend any of the bowls with an egg. Beans, green and sausage. Or cheesy grits and brussel sprouts. Good coffee. Very nice waitstaff. Would recommend highly.

Labor Day breakfast - got there at 10:15, right before a huge deluge of people, We only had to wait 15 minutes for outdoor seating. Coffee, oj and my daughters French toast latte were all great. Same goes for our entrees - breakfast sandwich, square...breakfast, salmon scramble and gluten free pancakes (cooked on separate grill space to keep safe for my celiac. Came with a berry compote, very good). Only complaint is waitress never came back to refill our coffee.More

Came here on a recommendation of a friend. Was not disappointed by the selection. I got the salmon and eggs while my partner got the Chorizo bowl- both were delicious! I don’t drink coffee but my partner said it was a really good cup. Loved...the vibe inside and outdoor seating is ideal for beautiful days. Had to wait a little on weekends, but it was worth the short wait.More

This was a cute little restaurant with a positive atmosphere! The staff was very friendly during our short wait for a table. The food was pretty good and didn’t take too long. I got the ranchero omelet and my husband got the hog wild omelet....It was a little hot inside but it was also very hot outside the weekend we went! I would go again!More

Nestled in Edgewood section of PGH is this great breakfast place with cool art and friendly staff. So many choices on the menu it was hard to choose but our party got a breakfast burrito, strawberry pancakes and the Brussels sprouts and grits bowl topped...with an egg. Everything was delicious and we were even given to go cups for our unfinished coffee. We will def be back!More

Amazing breakfast food. The service this visit was particularly kind and sweet!! Had the Brussels sprouts, bacon, egg and grits and it was AMAZING!! Fiancé got the chorizo bowl I think it was called, it comes over tator totts (sp? Lol) and it was also...Delcious !!! We had a great iced salted chai latte. And I can’t wait to go back. Great veggie options, always current and fresh twists on classic breakfast plates. Love itMore
