the food is good but the atmosphere is a little dingy. The chicken fried rice is good as well as the sweet and sour.

Because it’s literally a block away, House of Lee is our go-to for Chinese take out. It’s obviously popular because it’s been there for 40 years and the parking lot is often full, but there are better Asian restaurants in the area. Appetizers are good - puffed shrimp and beef teriyaki are favorites. The main courses are standard fare. We stick to several entrees: lemony chicken, General Tso’s chicken, and Cashew chicken are reliable. The gravy with the Egg Foo Young seems like brown gravy out of a can and the lo mein sauce has an unusual flavor. Prices are reasonable. We never eat in because smoking is permitted in the bar and it drifts into the dining room.

If you are a fan of 1950's American Chinese food, this is the place for you. Otherwise, you will be disappointed. The place is dark but the bar seems to do a good business.

It has been many years since we have been to the House of Lee. It is not located in our usual area of travel but we were meeting friends and this was a good meeting point for us. We had a party of four and we all enjoyed our meals—Chicken Almond, Chicken Broccoli, Beef Szuan. Everyone enjoyed the meals. The quality, freshness and portions of food were amazing. We will be returning soon by adding it to our restaurant rotation

I read some reviews and I dont understand some of them ,I have been going there for years like many steady customers .The food I rate a 10 going by the prices and how much you get and never had a problem. The people who work there have always been nice and is just a great place to take your family as they have a very nice dining room , The House of lee also has a very nice bar and they do serve pizza hamburgers and other types of food,They also have a big parking lot and is right off of RT 65 .

Omg!!! It was amazing! I found myself alone for Christmas, and hungry. Then I remembered several years ago that they were serving Christmas dinners. So I ordered 2 dinnersAnd had them delivered. Even though I was 3 miles outside of their delivery area they still brought it to me. They were full dinners complete with turkey ,Ham, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, mix vegetables, cranberry sauce. I also added the shrimp . It all came with a roll, butter and A cheesecake bite. The presentation in the tray was so appealing and gorgeous!!! The food was so good. I'm a self proclaimed foodie and very picky. This was incredible so glad I remembered.

During the early days of covid shutdown we ordered takeout from here and ended up very hungry. We ordered online and the food was ready once we arrived. They had what seemed to be a system in place, however once we got home 25 min+ drive the entire order was not there. Also the items we did receive did not taste good at all. Overly greasy, the general tso was battered with an odd sauce. We threw out our entire order.

We recently moved to this area and saw House of Lee on our way past into Pittsburgh, and wanted to try it. We had our chance one evening, a weekend at about 7 pm. There were only two other tables occupied, and we were seated quickly. Our order was taken, food arrived within a decent time period, and then our server disappeared. By that time, we were the only table remaining, but she never returned. Our meals were good, on the low side of average, but not bad at all. After waiting for a while, I finally got up and found a stryo container to take home part of my meal. Eventually the server did return, and we paid for the meal (which also took way longer than it should have). We weren't in a hurry, but being the only ones in the restaurant felt a little weird... will not return, hope to find another Chinese restaurant in the area.

This was the first time ordering from this restaurant and it will be my last. The food was horrible. It was some of the worst chinese food I ever had. I ordered shrimp and vegetable egg rolls. They tasted like black pepper. I have never seen egg rolls with black pepper in them and it was very noticeable too.
The House of Lee soup had no flavor to it. The wontons in it were mushy and disintegrating as I ate it. They had very little filling in them too. I have never had soup that was that bland. It tasted like air.
The Triple Delight had an odd smell to it. I should have taken the advice from other people on other reviews and ordered elsewhere. Totally disgusting and a total waste of money!!!!

My take out dinner arrived and was not cooked. I called to send it back and was told when I call in an order I have to tell them I want it cooked .What kind of answer is that ! I then was told to cook it myself. Then told that they will not serve me again and that the driver said he will not come back here to deliver again. I was then told to throw it in the rubbish. This woman down there is very RUDE!!!! I have been ordering there for three years and never had a problem .They need to demolish that place like they did the Avalon Motel. Both terrible food and very dirty.

Ordered through UberEats. Half the order was missing. What did arrive was absolutely DISGUSTING. There was a solid piece of something (chicken? I'm not sure) floating in the sauce. This ENTIRE order was thrown in the garbage (literally - never have done this before cause food is expensive!) cause I was afraid of illness. The broccoli was super limp, food was DRY cause sauce was not poured over the entire portion.. this was singly the WORST Chinese food I've ever received... ever.

I ordered Lobster and Crab meat fried rice. There were pieces of Lobster shell all through the rice. It was dry and tasteless. Also, when I ordered my lunch through 'GrubHub' online, it stated for pickup to contact the restaurant once you arrive. Well, I did that and the person who answered the phone was EXTREMELY RUDE!!! Told me that there is a sign on the door that tells you where to find your food....???? It was in a soda refrigerator outside.....????. And then was told to pay attention to the signs on the door.....WELL, that did not go over well with me. So I went inside to ask who I spoke to on the phone. The only woman standing there, said it was not her. She claimed to not understand what I was saying and then walked off.....Not worth it AT ALL!!!

The service was great and the food was good. They include a lot of extra ingredients not listed on their menu, so if you have any food allergies, I'd request a full list of anything they put in their dishes. Portion sizes are also huge - even more so than most Chinese restaurants.
Their Chinese food was good, but I wouldn't recommend their sushi. I wish I could review both separately.
