Quaint, great value, best crepe pancakes. They were even taken to the White House where breakfast was cooked and served for President Obama and military members. Cash only.

We came on a Saturday morning, hungry for workman's food: eggs, carbs, & coffee. We left satisfied, even though we spilled the sugar packets & salt 'n pepper to the floor. I had a Western Omelet, Lyonaise potatoes, wheat toast and black coffee seated with the three walls of the restaurant. You'll see our table and the garage-like wall lifted... More

Pamela’s Diner – Squirrel Hill Location Our family of six adults was in Pittsburgh for a birthday celebration. While doing research for our trip, I came upon Pamela’s Diner’s website & thought it sounded good. So very glad we went there – it was absolutely wonderful! Since we were staying close by in Squirrel Hill, we went to their location... More

The Lyonnaise potatoes and the unusually huge crepe-like pancakes will dazzle you and fill you up. The chorizo hash is delightful. We have eaten there many times and love it. Go on weekdays because on week-ends you will be in a line by 9 AM!

The Obama's may love Pamela's but it does not agree with my digestive system. I took family visiting from Washington DC and we didn't have a long wait. The food was good but passed through me pretty quickly.

Ate there with an old friend, and as I told him "it's impossible to get proper corned beef hash in the south"...he said "yes, but it's impossible to get proper grits in the north"...LOL....well, if you want the epitome of proper corned beef hash go here, you can't beat it!!! PS: cash only!!

Here for breakfast sign says seat yourself. I get a seat ask waitress to wipe off table for there are only dirty tables to sit at. She snaps that i was not to seat myself when the sign clearly states that. She has a real bad attitude. Wish she had name tag on i would surly put her on blast.... More

Had breakfast when visiting family in Squirrel Hill neighborhood. Got there a bit after 9 on Sunday morning. Although we were seated right away, there was a line right after that. Mostly good food, nice menu. Only downside was the French toast. Very dry, not soaked enough in egg. Tasted like the bread was merely passed through an egg wash.... More

Our server was excellent and helpful, but the food was salty, greasy, and overall unappetizing. I ordered hot tea and I got the cheapest possible teabag that the grocery store has, no choices of any kind.

Weekend in Pittsburgh and we had at least three friends tell us we need to go here and we confirmed that after breakfast. This is a basic diner with great breakfast food. Our group had the spinach & feta omelet, the pancakes, the Banana chocolate chip pancakes, and the raisin French toast. Our favorite was the Banana Chocolate Chip pancakes....sliced... More
