4 of us, all loving Mediterranean food love this place! So many options! Appetizerso, meals, salads wraps! Moussaka was delicious! As was my beef kebob. Cooked kimberlee a little different than our own but good.

Reasonable prices, delicious food and very friendly, accommodating service. The skewers, salad, hummus and falafel were all really good. Waitress made us feel very at home. Not very atmospheric but who cares!

I have eaten in the restaurant several times before with friends. It was adequate at best. This time I ordered Take Out. A lamb kabab and a chicken kabab dinner. I requested that the lamb be cooked medium so it wouldn’t be tough and dry. Of course the lamb was over cooked, dry and tasteless! The chicken was tough and dry. The salad was an average iceberg lettuce salad. Ho-hum. The rice was good. Each meal was aprox $25.00. Way over priced for the quality and compared to other med restaurants. The next day I called to advise and complain about the 2 meals. The Manager had nothing but excuses. I should have ordered the meat rare then cook it in my oven to finish it. ( I ordered take out so I don’t have to cook). Maybe I let it sit too long. After the excuses I asked for compensation. She said no because it was the next day! I will go to a restaurant that truly cares about their customer satisfaction. I recommend Aladdins across the street or The Kabab House a few doors away. JA.

My husband and I had a terrific dinner at this sweet little restaurant in Squirrel Hill, recently moved from a basement site to a Forbes Avenue location. Wonderful vegetarian grape leaves (served warm, way better than cold!) and mujhadara (sp.?) for me and salad and a mixed grill plate for Erich. SO GOOD. The caramelized onions on top of the mujhadara were to die for, and Erich loved his salad and the lamb and ground sirloin along with rice pilaf he had for his dinner. Service was efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere is busy and city-like. Good place. We'll be back.

We were not very impressed by this "Mediterranean" Lebanese Restaurant. Their menu looked very appealing on the website, however lacked any flavour what-so-ever. The gyro and chicken platters were served with a tasteless red sauce; which only became useful so it could be used for the dry brick like kibbeh dish. The Chicken wrap was also dry without any sauce. A request for hot sauce was answered with a bottle of Frank’s Red Hot. Will pass on this place next time in town.

This little gem is located in the heart of Squirrel Hill on Forbes. The food is authentic, with generous portions of homemade menu items! Our group had red lentil soup, hummus, baba ganoush, fatoush, with pita bread galore. Sidewalk tables are perfect for four, and service is quick. Our server, Jessica, knows every detail of every item on the menu ... she helped reassure my wife that a severe egg allergy would not be a problem at Mediterranean Grill. Tables inside and copper top tables outdoors offer different atmospheres. Family-owned, local and outstanding in every way. Enjoy!

My wife and I have been going to the Mediterranean Grill in Squirrel Hill for 20 years. Until recently it was on the basement level of a storefront on Forbes Avenue. The food was always excellent, but the space had no windows and was not particularly attractive. The restaurant has moved across the street to a warm and inviting first floor space with large windows facing Forbes Avenue. Service is always friendly and efficient. It is a BYOB, with a low corkage charge, which is a real bonus. If you enjoy Lebanese food, give this restaurant a try!

The Mediterranean Grill has moved out of its old, downstairs location to a new smaller place in a storefront across the street. They now have better visibility, but they are in a smaller, more jammed space. Several of us shared some mujaddarah and it was pretty bland with few lentils. A single skewer of lamb was fairly unimpressive. Other dishes were pretty much average. The night we were there, they were jammed with people, and the servers were unable to keep up very well. There are better offerings of Middle Eastern or Mediterranean food around.

The Good: The Mezze was well done. The olives were good. The Baba Ghanoushj was not too smokey. The hummus and the other thing were fresh. They are generous with bread and lemons for your water. There is no alcohol served here. The service is good bordering on really good. The place itself is clean. The Not Good: This isn't a Greek restaurant. Almost any time a place is called Mediterranean that is code-word for Lebanese, Arab, or Middle Easterner. Greeks are unashamed to call their place Greek. Yes, I know Lebanon is on the Mediterranean Sea. The portions for the Mezze are good for about 1.5 people, not 2 people and not a family. For $15 they gotta be kidding. They could learn some Middle Eastern generosity. The Gyro Pitas contains two thin pieces of meat. A total joke. The quality of the meat is worse than what you can get at the frozen section of Walmart. I've never had a Gyro any worse than the one served here. I'm shocked. I can't believe Pittsburghers can't tell the difference. You pay like $7 bucks for a lot of lettuce and tomatoes. You shouldn't have to pay $16 for a platter, which may or may not be bigger. I get it, this is Squirrel Hill and people there have money. So why not soak the older people that bought their $300k homes 20 years for like $80k. But still, that isn't so nice to do to people. This place has tons of potential, but it lacks the creative zest needed to make it something special. I'm sure the owner has big overhead and will have a good run. He should sell the place once it gets hot and before it becomes a hot potato. Will I give it another try? I dunno. *shrugs*. I want there to be a good Greek or a good Lebanese place somewhere in the City, this isn't it. P.S. the decor isn't there yet, big blue walls, no pictures....

We always choose Med Grille when celebrating special occasions. The food is amazing, fresh and made with love. And the service is just as great. We always chose Med Grille and so should you!

It is nothing fancy. You walk downstairs. You then have the best meal. I wish I wrote my review more timely. I forgot the apps we had. But see the chicken. Tender. Seasoned. Delicious. I wish I had a microwave in my hotel room. I would have wanted to enjoy this for another dinner. Hope to go back.

We went to the restaurant for the first time to enjoy one of our favorite types of food. The food was good but the service was way off. The lack of attention, including forgetting our order and over charging for our order, made for an off experience for us. Too bad as it sounds like most people have not dealt with this.

Instead of the Mediterranean Grill this restaurant should be called the Subterranean Grill. It's entrance is a difficult-to-find hole in the wall. You descend a steep staircase, traverse a hallway, and there at the end of the hallway is the restaurant entrance. Once you find your way in you are in for a treat. The friendly staff will guide you through the extensive and moderately priced menu. I had the moussaka and it was absolutely delicious.
