The food at The Carlton is always top notch. The Duck pasta with duck bacon had more duck in it then I expected, it was wonderful! The server, a long-time employee, either had a bad night or was covering too many parties. Drink order was wrong, never saw him post order until the check was dropped, then I had to... More

The first thing you have to do is find the place! It's inside the BNY Mellon building, up the escalator. No idea why it's so well hidden. The food was fabulous, both fish entrees were fresh and perfectly prepared. Service was 5 star

Went for my birthday dinner on Saturday. Table for 4 , wife and kids (21 and 19). Visiting from Canada and was recommended by the Fairmont. The service was good , until the food was bad ( Mahi Mahi) , which was overcooked and presented on a bed of rice that was cold. At that time Enzo seemed "perturbed", but... More

Took our son and 2 friends to dinner on a Friday night visiting PGH. We were seated right away, received excellent service, and the food was outstanding, especially the barramundi fish special!

While on one of my trips out East I enjoyed stopping in at this location for a good meal, I found that while on the East coast I tend to eat sea food more so than I due back in Calif. So I ordered the Red Snapper it was cooked to perfection it was severed with soup or salad I... More

Great food, even better service. Extremely personalized and the staff is courteous. i really liked the old school feel of the place. I hope it does not give into to modernization.

This has always been a dependable restaurant but important things have slipped. Upon walking into the bar, there was an unmistakable moldy, musty odor that comes from using wet & moldy towels to clean. Heading into the dining room, the steps are worn and in need of re-staining. The service is very good and so is the food except the... More

My son and I had dinner here on a trip visiting CMU. I had excellent Filet Mignon Oscar. My son's duck pasta was also excellent. Banana cream pie and toll house cookie sundae were fabulous- possibly the best banana cream pie ever. Service was impeccable. Location is odd though - had to go through the libby of an office building.... More

My wife and I very much enjoyed our dining experience at The Carlton on Saturday 2/20. Both my lamb chops and my wife's prime rib were cooked perfectly. We were very happy that our dietary needs and food allergies were easily accommodated by the kitchen, and our server Joel was very friendly and professional. We also enjoyed the free limo... More
